So, in summary, best try Fox or Railtec then… Cheers Darius -
Methinks a Mk1 Buffet is perhaps not the best starting point for a “Caroline” inspection coach project… Cheers Darius PS I had to look twice at the last part of the seller’s eBay handle

I know. It’s a mystery... Cheers Darius

Thanks Pat - now I just need a layout to run them on. A friend and I are building a large layout in his garden shed but we are some time away from continuous running. I do have a plan for a small roundy roundy/photo plank using the baseboards that used to support the shed helix. One day… Cheers Darius

Reading your posts over the past few years often reminds me of an Architect that worked in my office back in the 1980s in the pre-internet drawing board days. Most of his working day was spent checking drawings and “redlining” errors with an actual red pen. Over time he noticed that his “criticising” day job was spilling over into his life outside work and that he couldn’t help criticising errors wherever and whenever he saw them. His wife, he said, was particularly impressed with his critical ability. I suppose that the curse of expecting perfection is to live with eternal disappointment*. Another vacform kit - a Fairey Gannet AS Mk1 built from the 1:48 scale Dynavector kit with a scratch built wing fold. In the short time they were in production, Dynavector produced some superb kits. l Cheers Darius

Step lights added. The were cut from a strip cut from a larger sheet of black coloured plasticard, gripped in the jaws of some small pliers and given rounded ends with a scrap of sandpaper. Once glued in place the front face was given a coat of BR light grey. Cheers Darius

I should have said “representations” of the step lights. I’m not intending to add actual step lights like leds or anything. Sorry if this is a disappointment. Cheers Darius

Hi Barry, I have been away from Aircraft Modelling lately - focusing on Railway Modelling - so haven’t really seen the Trumpeter kit in the flesh. I have a couple of Airfix 1:48 Sea Vixen FAW2 kits in the stash along with an Alley Cat resin FAW1 conversion set that I may get round to... Cheers Darius
