  1. I don't think I will bother telling the Mrs............... Regards, C.
  2. Don't think my wallet could take another announcement at the minute........
  3. Would quite agree, its the way to go. When Accurascale did the questionnaire at the start, my feedback was to offer great products at sensible prices, without being greedy like some others. I think Accurascale has a very bright future, as long as it continues to maintain its core values and modellers wallets can continue to stand the bombardment of wonderful models. There is too much temptation...... Regards, C.
  4. Obviously too much time on his hands...... .....You should send him China to head a weathered models production line! LOL!
  5. Well, it wouldn't take much to improve the current Lima, ooops sorry I meant to say Bachmann one, particularly at its price now a days. Particularly below the sole bar, enhanced roof details, etched grilles etc.. It don't really stretch the imagination to see how a better one could be produced. Just please do not announce 20 versions at the same time. Hornby Class 50, well it is nice but there are a few inaccuracies, and it could be just updated to the latest standards. DCC/servo controlled side luvres would be good, complete with sound!
  6. Well although its interesting, and I havent read all 30 pages. I can quite understand Daves frustration of working on projects and others announcing the same and/or gazumping him by cutting him out. Would not like to speculate, on whether its the answer to problems he has encountered in the past, or just adds more questions. I cannot quite understand how you can get IP rights on something that you are effectively "copying" that is 76 times bigger (in the case of OO). Likewise, to make changes, well you cannot to the actual shape, but surely, any entity that has the owners permission can take measurements from an item of railway stock, and produce their own CAD's, tooling etc. As long as the dimensions are not borrowed from a competitors model, then I wonder how IP can be used in this case. Likewise regarding differences, there must be lots of ways if needed - i.e. different materials (eg Accurascale's tungsten chassis) , using clips or screws to join components etc. Likewise look at it from the micro level, and, in theory no manufacturer could even use the same coupling, never mind wheels, which then adds problems too, what happens if a supplier in China has to make a different axle for each manufacturer, due to IP - price goes up! It depends how far manufacturers wanted to take it, and how IP law would be applied. I could understand IP with something like a novel feature, such as Live Steam, but otherwise..... Regards, C.
  7. Personally, my money would be on...... Whilst these guys could go a more than superb Class 47 (DCC controlled roofline grilles would be fabulous, for a moving away Duff!!!), I think it will be a Class 47 from Hattons, - they are Hattons Dave's favourite, plus Bachmann's is getting tired and at ridiculous prices. And on top of that on their website, there is a monster epic of a Class 47 profile. Class 37 from Accurascale - With the deltic coming, surely the English Electric synergies may have an effect. Again, same sentiments - Bachmann's is tired by modern standards and ridiculous prices. Regards, C.
  8. Will there be more "white" ones produced in a second batch perhaps? Regards, C.
  9. Lobby Barwell, cannot think of a bigger waste of time! In fact I'd go so far as to say Accurascale do a VEA and a TTA for bitumen. At least we'd see them by Late 2019, early 2020 at the latest! Regards, C.
  10. Nevermind, we will all forgive you if you do a "Gloucester" Version........ (Plus you could show the re-gauging people, how you meant the Met Cam version to be!) Regards, C.
  11. Without going off topic too far - Would agree and have thought for a long time that a Cl 37 would be a good move to follow on from the Deltic, and whilst I love Hornby's Class 50, an Accurascale one with sound would make an excellent follow on too (I would quite happily provide a list of the numbers/liveries Hornby have done to avoid number and livery duplication where possible, although some would be required - D400 with correct Handrails, 50149 with correct bogies as examples). A Cl.37 would put the Bachmann one out of its misery, just like the Deltic will. I would go further, but out of respect for Accurascale won't. Regards, C.
  12. Think the scariest thing is that they let this guy use a knife! LOL! Personally, when mine arrive, I'm going to unrobe them more carefully than I do the Mrs!
  13. Calm down everyone, its only a Cemflow. Surprised some have not tried to get Ally Pally date changed? Can just imagine couriers (subject to delivering on Saturdays) trying to deliver tomorrow, while many are at Ally Pally! Then its either explain a large box to the Mrs, or reattempt Monday! #Sods Law!
  14. Did think the same myself. (Perhaps it has a special box?)
  15. Mine, has still not turned up. Booked the friday before. Regards, C.
  16. Saw a TPE set tonight being pulled by 68026, boy are the lights inside the coaches bright. The angular looks of the front cowling above the buffers of the driving trailer reminds me of the Devon Belle Observation Car! Regards, C.
  17. I asked about Class 92 power, speed of Class 71 and were advised it is certainly a different factory (DJM did say earlier that it changed and was one reason for delay). The factory is supposed to make US models, so would expect they should know what they are doing with powered chassis. Regards, C.
  18. Seem to recall a few close up shots of those safety logos on the Revolution JNA/MMA page, if its any good to you. Regards, C.
  19. Doubt it would fit UK loading gauge. And that bit on the back would certainly get knocked off in the first tunnel. Reason for Dogbox321, I'm one of the founding members of Derby's "153 Squandon", theres even a badge! (I'll have to find it out - front view of a 153, set in a red triangle complete with wings and a latin inscription (something like this) "cava buxum cannis" which is supposed to translate "Beware of the doxbox!") Oh, how I wish I'd had more than one! Plus 321 is nick-named "Dusty Bin", as per Ted Rodgers fame from the game show, which I can always remember watching at my grandparents as a kid! Regards, C.
  20. Hi. Did not do anything like that, so I don't know then, but the offer reference came up as: BRM/PREALLYPALLY19RAILS All I did was click on the advert and it added it to my basket. After that I just coughed up the £5! Regards, C. Hi, did you mange to do it in the end? Only other thing I can possibly think of is some sort of settings on the computer, cookies prefs, virus checker or something? Regards, C.

  22. Finally someone has found something good about a Class 153! It had to happen sooner or later I suppose! LOL! Regards, C.
  23. The staff may be on commission - bottle of Guinness for each order dispatched!
  24. I just managed to follow the link, set up an account with warners and then into shopping basket and hey presto. I've received an order reference, but unsure how the ticket arrives. Is it the order number, or will something come in the post?????? Regards, C.
