  1. Not sure. I know the steelworks had a thing for blue and cream inside. A light green existed for a period at the beginning and then mid point in time. Many outside stansions are now wasp stripes for the lower half
  2. So today 47445 has been back in the workshops of the living room... A crew have been added and the additional Avonside sandbox the origional locomitive was fitted with under peppers ownership (thankyou Railway Mania where this part is available) and finally some weathering removed on one side. The reason? The brilliant news that the Midland Railway - Butterley have started overhaul work on the real 47445. I cannot wait to see her and her orange tanks in real life !
  3. Looking forward to having more bo bo hunslets. Although the KR models edition will be an upgrade on my old kit.
  4. A 3 car would be a little too big. I understand 144017 started life as a 2 car. And a 2 car would suit Me
  5. Hi all. Just wondering if its possible to pick up a 144 anymore . Or are more comming In the future. 144017 is stabled at our railway and i was hopeful to get a model representation. Thanks for any and all info.
  6. A few more unusual shots. Most importantly , the first time all 12 janus have been on the layout in the new liveries.
  7. A few more different shots from forklifts pushing wagons to a union meeting at the shed ! and who's is that mini van , it won't last long there
  8. 2 more additions to the janus fleet, and most of all No1 being the most important. The real life preserved loco at the Appleby Frodingham Railway Preservation Society finally exists in model form . The second still currently numbered as No5 is for working with the modern era 2015+ fleet.
  9. Well we can solve that too at scunthorpe if we run a diesel your this year.
  10. The photo of the new billets that it did not upload and the slabs next to it
  11. Another update for you all The cranford model is now pretty much complete. 2 accurascale wagons arrived however have had to be returned. Hopefully when the replacements arrive I'll be able to get some photos. Some more wagon loads have arrived in the form of billet stock this time for use on the flat wagons. The sentinels have been dragged out for a while. The more modern janus is having some trail flashing cab lights fitted. Hopefully more on this later. The 22 Hornby model has again caused issues. The chassis seems to be nothing but trouble. I've now found that a screw holding the pickups is pushing on the bearing housing and bearing. It really feels as if the austerity chassis has had its day. A few general photos in and around the layout including one of the new wagon loads. Also just arrived is a hybar shock wagons. These were used at the end of steam/diesel period to move small wire rod coils around the country from Normanby park.
  12. So will you be offering these plates in nickle silver?
  13. i must admit in the past ive had multiple plates from narrow planet/LRS in nickle silver in the past and never had an issue with the resolve of the finished items when compared to brass. and when it comes to plates like those for the janus above id much rather have them in a closer to real colour.
  14. Thanks @Accurascale Fran I have added another since! The steelworks in scunthorpe once had 60 of these machines. Today only 2 are working and a thirs being our preserved example that gives brake van tours around the steelworks.
  15. Hi fran I must admitni hadent thought of the 2 5 pack wagons that my partner purchased that arrived to him safely.. I can believe that it's all down to parcel force. A shame that a once respected company like them seems to be having a habit of becoming the worst for damage. I look forward to my replacements arriving back with Me. I have had the note to inform me you received my wagons and are reviewing them. I'll be glad to add them to my steelworks layout :). And don't worry , I still plan to get my deltic ! Andrew
  16. Just to add my part. I ordered and received a pair of the wagons. Upon unpacking they were more a kit of parts. All the hoods were off. All The metal frame rails. Several buffers, several of the hood locking hands including one snapped. Just simply too much to start sticking them on. I contacted accurascale and have returned them awaiting for my replacement. Whilst I hope the replacements arrive safe and well, I hope the packaging style is reviewed before the release of the deltics The parcel service was parcel Force as with other people's orders. On a positive . The wagons if in good condition would be excellent. But we have to point things out. Or things can't improve
  17. Jacks green and ring haw both ordered from hardys, and I wonder who let you know @1whitemoor lol
  18. Thanks for the opinions mol. I'm still considering some more filth and dirt about the place butni don't want it to be too dirty. As I want it to be a recently built part of the works. Leading from your last point. The brush bagnals never made it to scunthorpe. But we did have 50-60 janus. However that being said I am extatic to see that hopefully we will soon have torpedos and hunslet locomotives from KR models if they get enough expressions of interests. Which will be a perfect addition to the layout. I'm also pleased to say I've acquired a walthers blast furnace , so that's the first layout extension sorted ! As well as my "tug" boat for the dockside layout I hope to build in time (and with more space ). I've recently injured my leg so I've had to go 2 weeks so far without touching the layout or any modelling. Let's hope I can get back to it in time. Before injuring my leg i did pull these two out and are currently acting as supply steam shunters for the late steam period, with the idea that the site are low on locomotives
  19. Expressions of interest for the Scunthorpe hunslet bo bo and torpedo wagons are now open! https://www.krmodels.co.uk/products/expression-of-interest
