  1. Not forgetting the AM10/Class 310 (in N gauge of course) :-)
  2. Locked ? Whatever for ? I would be surprised if there is no N version in the future.
  3. Great stuff Adam, N gauge version next please.
  4. TMC 11 car sets arrived in stock, so I ordered one, original Virgin, which is on the way. Now chasing decoders. Revolution say they will have light bars to order in a few weeks.
  5. OK thank you Ben. We'll have to see where is the best place to mount one, when they arrive.
  6. Thank you Mike for clarifying that. Now, can either of you gentlemen please tell me if there is a speaker, or provision for one, in the driving trailer ? I ask, as that is where the horn should sound when the set is being pushed and driven from the driving trailer.
  7. Thank you Ben, that was useful. Checking on the web site again, once again it is found by clicking on the header for the Projects, as it is not on the drop down menu,
  8. Last news I read on the TPE sets was delivery about now. Is there any further news or updates please ? I have looked all through the RevolutioN web site of course, before posting. I cannot find anything on there about deliveries on these.
  9. A couple of coaches for N, which would be good as stand alone products, without necessarily having a full range of coaches to begin with, are the ex - LMS 12 wheel restaurant car, in all the liveries it ran in and the Mk1 TPO coaches, also in everything from BR crimson and cream, through BR maroon and blue/grey to post office red. A stowage van and a sorting van would be good, with correct offset corridor connections.
  10. Now there's an ambition ! In N scale too ?
  11. One possibility, now that the 66 has been announced, a 59 must be logical future step. I note that RevolutioN have already said that the 66 is the logical step from their 59.
  12. Does the DT on the TPE set have a speaker installed as standard ?
  13. Congratulations ! Next year : N Gauge loco of the year N Gauge Manufacturer of the year.................................................................
  14. Let me just say I am very glad to see 66779 in this release. It needed the upgrade just as much as any of them. Especially as these are the first with the newly designed chassis and body tooling. Not everyone has one of the previous versions and I for one, will be pleased to get my first 66779 ! Complete with the new chassis, Next18 and sound designed in, which no previous version in this scale has.
  15. Thanks Ben, Hopefully a stay alive can be connected to the decoder then, for those of us who would still like to have one. Brian
  16. Is a stay alive included in the loco or decoder ?
  17. The 66 is definitely one for consideration in N gauge. It really is time for a top class version with Next 18, built in dual speakers and stay alive. In fact that also applies to any loco you do in N gauge.
  18. Keeping to N scale versions of your existing range, except those already done in conjunction with RevolutioN, as requested, I will suggest the following : Class 50 Class 89 Mark 2 coaches, all of them MGR wagons Accurablokes, particularly the loco crews Additionally, I would like to see a competing range of Mk1 coaches in N, maroon and blue/grey, as these are needed to go with many of the locos, available or in progress. Packs of four at regular intervals would go down well.
  19. Which would be fine, it would enhance electrical pickup, as would a stay alive and provide a bus internal to the model. All the decoders would get constant power.
  20. I prefer having a decoder in each car and will pay for the cheapest decoder around for lights. The flexibility in operations is worth it to me. I do realise that many would prefer to have just a single decoder. Two sound decoders in a Midland Pullman is great, worth the expense and I will be putting two sound decoders in my HST when it arrives. Keeps the couplings more manageable.
  21. I can remember these original Peaks appearing on express trains coming into Euston and starting to replace steam on these trains. I will definitely have D1, the first one I saw, plus more of the green ones.
  22. I'd hardly call these "any old rubbish". They look very good to me. I would venture that Rapido have high standards and consider that to be the reason that an 'Orribly Overize version would not meet their standards.
  23. Thanks for the review and pics Tom. Looks like plenty of space for a decent size stay alive array above the motor.
