  1. Wasn't the original release of the "new as in not ex-Lima" Hornby 67 something like "English, Welsh & Scottish Railwa" on the cabside?
  2. Looks like there's 12 Rfnoos wagons up for conversion as translator wagons for the new Siemens underground stock in the pipeline.
  3. Northern are running crew training trips (for Blackburn based staff) for the upcoming reintroduction of a Dalesrail service - Rochdale-Ribblehead, It will now be called the Yorkshire Dales Explorer On the second day of training , 150106 forms 5T01 Blackburn-Blea Moor. The normal fare for the S&C these days is 158s and in the past, 156, 150/2 and 142/144 have been used, but 150/1's are very rare beasts north of Settle Junction. It was 150102 yesterday and I can only find one other pic of a 150/1 at Nottingham on a Sunday Carlisle service., but no guarantee it made it's way fully north Unless anyone knows different?
  4. Nice pics of the SF trip. Bringing back lots of memories of my 4 days there two years ago. I couldn't escape much from the rest of the group apart from a San Jose return on Caltrain and a couple of hours on the MUNI. Looks like the ex-Amtrak AEM7 hasn't moved since I saw it in May 2022.
  5. 94225 is the stores GUV - it usually carries all the consumables for a summer season - toilet rolls/soap etc,
  6. LSL are putting together another shorter HST/Pullman set for WHL duties later this year.
  7. Which goes to prove you'll never please all the people, all of the time. If such an era was popular, then there would be lots of layouts about. Glad I'm not an exhibition manager.
  8. Might need a bigger layout to fit it all on.....
  9. Thank you to Alex for the loan of the railtour pair for York Show. I do have two single 56s, but a pair together sounded even more fantastic. Not on a railtour, but gainfully employed on barrier coach duties on Deadmans Lane. There are plans for a set of coaches to match. (They do need a bit of weathering and details adding....) Pic form @Jack374
  10. A big thankyou to those that came at stopped by at the York Show over the weekend. Hope you all enjoyed the layout. I'm sure @Jack374 will be along with his pics shortly. Next show is the DEMU Showcase at Sutton Coldfield in June. There should have been a few more new yellow bits at York, but unfortunately they weren't finished due to illness the week before, but they should be ready for June. See you there!
  11. On behalf of the Deadmans Lane crew - a big thank you to all that stopped by to watch and comment. Also a big thank you to the team at York MRS for the organisation - even though we did have to buy a couple of duvets........ 😃
  12. Unfortunately, the NMT won't be ready for York. I was struck down with a lurgy that meant no modelling for the last 10 days or so - preventing the set being finished. DEMU Showcase is the next target.
  13. Deadmans Lane is out at York this coming Easter weekend - we shall see how the full load running tests go....
  14. A quick check tonight and Deadmans Lane is almost ready to roll. The "logistics plan" for the team from five different locations has been finalised. Just a couple of bits of stock to finish a couple of details and packing and then we're good to load up on Friday morning. As DL pretty much only gets fully assembled for exhibitions, we're looking forward to playing trains for three days.
  15. Was 66778 the dodgy loc? If so - it also failed at Ribblehead last week.....
  16. I managed to see and ride them in 2022. I thought I was lucky then, but observation of the electrification progress was obviously well behind schedule then. Particularly on the northern sections. I can't immediately recall, but is the project about 3-4 years late? Albeit some due to covid delays.
  17. Dccconcepts are not Dapol agents. Try DCC Supplies
