I always describe exactly what you get warts n all .I sold some Team Lotus shirts ,Good ones with embroidered Camel logos ,some JPS .etc .I just put unwashed ,unironed, all dirt and sweat original .One I put "unless you are Japanese or a girl age 12 this isnt going to fit you .dont ask ."sold em all no complaints.same with all train stuff .I have always had 100% rating

I use those cheap double action airbrushes (12 quid or so ) off Amazon these days and throw them away if I get any problems . .They work fine for most model train work ,aircraft ,or model cars etc .I have used various acrylic ,Tamiya ,2K ,Scalecoat etc .Not the received answer for the great and good but an airbrush is just another tool .Airbrushes work much better if you use them a lot .

.The day job is making money .Is the mass market for common types saturated anyway ?.Most common types well known to the public have been made and judging by the used market many collectors of a certain age that skim off the models to stay in boxes are dying off to judge by the huge amount coming on the market. filling up hobby shops There are some great models being produced for shops and other investors all of which dont produce train sets to inspire more enthusiasts.Is TT 120 a very clever move to creat a new market in the UK ? I think it is ,likewise Bachmann 009 escapades .

I had a SpectrumH0 shay and after new NWSL gears it ran perfectly .It ran perfectly OK with the rear truck with side shaft gears removed as they were the cracked gears the rest were OK but I changed them all out .Dont follow the NWSL instructions there is a much easier way of doing it .Of course I sold it and now just have a MDC terror which does run well after some NWSL gears and a lot of fiddling .A bit more design thought and it would have been a fine model .The KR shay looks great but I prefer older style shays .Its a bit modern for me .Paragon are bringing out a 4 truck which I wount be able to afford any way .

I think you have to do it the hard way and even machine a space tor it unless you want it sticking up into the cab ..there is an article out there somewhere but I took the easy way out and sold it .

My favorite is the baltic tank .I believe a NZ prototype .I had great fun back in the day with my friend playing trains on the floor .he had a Rivarossi 0-4-0 docksider and I also had a liliput 2-6-0 and some stock .The Liliput made the Triang a bit crude.You can blame Pages of Barkingside just a few minutes walk from me .Great days .

I emailed Simon K a few weeks ago to ask if any American sounds and functions were to be added and he said it was already in hand .Timing perfect as my DCC setup has just gone up the spout so I will check out some HM 7000 decoders .I dont have a vast fleet so dont need to invest a huge amount .I needed sound decoders any way for most .

This is a low dirty trick to make me buy a loco I dont need ...........BUT WANT .

I have COPD .While both my wife and I have avoided getting it we tend to self isolate and wear a mask in shops ..In truth I am about the only one on the planet who seems to wear one and starting to get weird looks but its better than the alternatives.A neighbor died late last year of it and my friend in Germany got it it took 3 weeks in hospital to recover .Another friend got it last winter on a ski holiday but didnt report it and travelled back with it .He is a fine upstanding member of the community or at least thinks he is and if he didnt mask up what about all the dumbos that cant be bothered.
