Still the glen would be a very nice model for you to do if the jones goods sells well.
-
I pre ordered the JOB crane yesterday and there was no deposit to pay.
-
Dear Rapido. When you were 3D scanning the Jones goods, you may have seen all the other nice steam locos next to it in the riverside museum. Fingers crossed you scanned them as well. If not please go back with the scanner. In particular Glen Douglas would be very nice to have. Oh and there are a lot of nice Glasgow trams there if you could aim the scanner in their direction that would also be very welcome.

Oooooh nice. That's a must have for me. Good to see some yellow plant being made. Hopefully it will sell well and a tamper will follow.

Thanks. The driver would normally put the master switch into neutral when the train stopped. So my thought would be the headlight would go out automatically when the train stopped on the model.
-
Maybe this has been asked previously apologies if it has. On the real thing the headlight turns off when the driver puts the master switch into the neutral position. It turns on again when the driver selects forward. Will the model replicate this? The photos look amazing very impressed with the cab took me back to the days when I worked on class 60s as a trainman.

The New Clockwork Orange
darrel replied to KeithMacdonald's topic in UK Prototype Discussions (not questions!)
One thing I have noticed with the new trains is how quiet they are internally. With the old trains its impossible to hold a conversation while the train is on the move. On the new trains it was perfectly possible to talk to my wife. I was very impressed with them. -
Just a small note the Scotrail woosh was introduced before privatisation. And was kept by National Express when it took over.

Newcastle, Glasgow Central, Waterloo.

Walked past game today noticed they sell scaletrix not sure if that's a new thing or not

Hard to tell from the photo but looks like the coal is squint. That may be a good thing if it means it is removable.

Genesis Coaches Batch 2 - from Hattons to Rails
darrel replied to BrakeCoach's topic in Rails of Sheffield
Rails do not own the tooling. The tooling has passed to another company. Any further batches will be made by that company. An announcement will be made later this year. I got this information this weekend. There was much nudge nudge wink wink can't possibly confirm etc. -
The U.K.'s oldest trains...
darrel replied to 45669's topic in UK Prototype Discussions (not questions!)
All the above are youngsters. I give you the Glasgow underground engineers wagons. The chassis for them were original subway car chassis dating back to 1896. -
After what he did at Newcastle and Rangers I'm not sure this is good news.

The 321s have one small window and one big window behind one driving cab the 320s have 2 large windows
-
Fantastic news. I have been wanting someone to do one for a very long time. Long lifespan lots of liveries and large geographical area. These will sell like hot cakes. Which 320 livery to go for maybe all 3. The estimated price seems very reasonable. Of the three types of EMU I currently drive these are my favourite.

I would love them to do a glen

There was also ask elvis. Where listeners could ask elvis ( obviously not the real elvis) questions. Two I remember were. Elvis can you explain nuclear fusion? Followed by elvis giving a long detailed explanation. And elvis where did I leave my car keys? "Uh huh on top of the fridge" was the reply to that one.

If I was in the car in the afternoon I listened to Steve's show. If I was model making in the afternoon I listened to Steve's show. Many models were made while listening to him. It was a sad day when his afternoon show finished. I've not listened to radio 2 since his last afternoon show. I was shocked to hear of his passing. Really sad news

Don't see the point in this duplication. If we compare the Bachmann and accurascale 37s both are great models. I think the Accurascale one is slightly better. But in terms of price Accurascale win hands down. We will need to wait and see which of the two models is best however I suspect accurascale will win again on price. Instead of wasting money creating duplicate models why not spend the money on something that hasn't been done already or improving on an existing model. A brand new class 08 for example or a 25KV emu
