  1. There is a photograph of 4405 at Plymouth that is said to be about 1930, in the Loco Portfolio book series : GW Moguls & Prairies, showing it with cab port holes. Unfortunately not a precise date for the photograph. I am going to guess at the earliest date for no port holes as being very late 1920 s (if not 1930 onwards) as locos went in for a major overhaul. Would the lack of / blanking off of cab port holes be done at a similar time to when cab shutters were added?
  2. @RapidoCorbs will it just be a difference of numbers between 4400 & 4408 or will there be any other differences? I am guessing this render is for 4400 in the early 1930s, I am unsure when cab portholes disappeared from 44xx s.
  3. Arrived with Rapido, email received requesting payment!
  4. Good to see the render has the earlier copper capped parallel chimney 🙂
  5. I was advised at the SVR that they are a reservoir to do with the ATC. 4566 in the Engine House ,at Highley, has one fitted. I took some photos but need to resize the files.
  6. I guess this is down to how long the person can hold the pose for, whilst being scanned.
  7. Looks fantastic ! Colour representation is always difficult, especially when viewed on a tablet, but to my eyes the buffer beam, frames etc. looked more of an orangey red in the film. I don’t know what others think?
  8. Looks impressive. Hopefully provision will be made so that variations can be produced without the outside steam pipes. It might be too much to ask for a variant with the bunker not extended?
  9. rka I am sure there are different bogie frames for the powered/ non powered ones Which ones are you after ? Several years ago I bought the bogie frames and cabs to improve the Triang coaches and never used them.
  10. Don't Narrow Planet do GW number plates to order?
  11. You are looking at the BR transitional one . The GW versions are lower down.
  12. Another photo taken the same day ? NRM suggested C1910 when they included this photo in their Tweet of the 21/05/22 on International Tea Day. Spot any differences! I wonder if any of these refreshment trolleys still exist?
  13. I believe I have some, as well as some other castings for the BP.
  14. @RapidoCorbsWhen is there likely to be any updates on the 44xx, especially regarding what will be offered? Have pre-ordered my B-set
  15. Possibly a Metro tank would be better than a 517 tank, for Dapol, as it would fill in a gap for something to haul their Toplight mainline coaches pre 1931?
  16. Personally I would suggest the GWR 4-6-0 County before a new Castle. However I would think that Accurascale when looking at steam engines are unlikely to choose another GW loco. So would think something like an 8F would be more probable. Now that a class 60 is taken would Accurascale be looking at an 08?
  17. Their O gauge auto coach shrunk to 4mm/ft + a small metro tank
  18. ****Thread drift maybe get back to class 31s ?**** Re the level of detail Guess this proves you cannot please all the people all of the time.
  19. Thanks @RapidoCorbs for your reply. Like BVMR21 I have concerns about a split chassis with the bearings as pickups. I believe there can be a build up of contamination from lubricants onto the bearings and it is more difficult to access to clean compared to wiper pickups. I am sure split chassis can be made to work well initially but they seem more at the future mercy of the lubricants migrating there or users not being as careful as they could be lubricating these models.
  20. @rapidoandy I presume that the spec for the 45xx/44xx will follow the Hunslett in having a split chassis with no separate pick ups?
