Who on earth would waste their money on that load of old rubbish? That's 40% or so towards a new Heljan one.
  4. Lovely, sunny and mild outside down here. Long may it stay!

It's sunny here too.... makes a change - now is the winter of our discount suntan lotion!

No sun, but also no Welsh wind. That means the gaily coloured trees and bushes still look as if its is October and not mid-November.

Now that is an insult to people's intelligence. I sold a perfect one a while ago and got just over £20 for it. Ah well it is 'he of the Gaiety tank fame'.'Nuf said!
  6. What were the approximate timescales for the liveries carried in BR days by the ex-GWR diag 28 and diag 30 autocoaches please? Thank you.

  8. Keep up the slow work Tim. Most excellent. The slower the better as I learnt to my cost! It's always time to stop when you start fidgeting in the chair! This sort of work knocks Wills embossed sheet into the long grass. I think that we owe a debt of gratitude to Baron Von Harrap for showing us how!

Who on earth would want to pay £31 for a scruffy looking kit empty box. I've got a fair few empty ones from kits that I made up years ago full of odds and ends and rubbish! I'll have to offer them up! You can get nice new leatherette covered ones for around £4 each.

I'd think about paying about 2/3rds of that sort of money if it had a half decent chassis, but not that load of rubbish! Ah well it is from our friend, who still has this load of overpriced cr*p for sale (7 years now). Surely the bin must beckon for it by now! http://www.ebay.co.u...=item45fd68d591
  12. As a CSI fan, thank goodness that those creepy puppets advertising loans at 1500%+ interest have gone. Hopefully for good. I found them profoundly disturbing!

Quite. Anything trying to persuade one that 1500% interest is acceptable is better consigned to the dustbin of history!

There was a lot consisting of much more than this, for sale by a box shifter at the Taunton show for £50. I did give it a second thought, but....!
  15. Just watched Teignmouth's finest, the magnificent Muse on R2 live stream. Interesting to hear of their meetings with Teignbridge Council trying to get a home gig at Newton Abbot racecourse organised. They so enjoyed (as did 10800 and I!) their home gig on Teignmouth seafront a couple of years ago that they want to do another one, but at the racecourse this time. Unusual to hear Teignbridge Council mentioned on a world wide broadcast! They interviewed well. Nice bunch of blokes.
  16. Heaven save us all. That giggling prat Vine is back on Radio 2. It was a joy to hear Vanessa Feltz last week (and I'm no particular fan). At least she let all her contributors speak without interrupting and giggling. He has started already in his inane way giggling and making flippant remarks about the impending Danish Ash disease. He seems to think that It's funny.

Perhaps they should be asked "by whom?". Then that might give credence to the term 'professionally..." If I had paid money to a professional for work like that, I'd want my money back. This is good light weathering done by CK of this parish.

It never ceases to amaze me that these people don't seem to bother checking their listings before putting them up.
