  1. Does the RhB still run loco hauled passenger trains, or are they all now EMUs?
  2. It can be rather smelly in there when it gets hot at shows. I think that it's all those buckets full of fish heads that he throws in.

If I wanted one I'd be bidding at around that price. Would probably end up at around £300+ maybe more. As I posted before "Possibly a tad dear, but the etched kit would have to cost £120+ to start with. I've been quoted £300+ for the professional building of something similar."..also add the wheels etc.

Perhaps his username trainsandwine ( 676) has something to do with it!

His rather unpleasant comments would put me off bidding anyway. There are better and more articulate ways of saying it.

It never ceases to amaze me that these sellers can't be bothered to photograph their wares properly instead of on the likes of their kitchen countertop with all the clutter around (like the one above) and even putting up fuzzy pics. It only requires two large pieces of white card/Daler board to photograph your items on, which I always do.

This load of c*** is still for sale @ £50 after 6 years+ and in 'finescale' to boot! http://www.ebay.co.u...91#ht_805wt_954 I auctioned one that I was given a while back for £1.25 ...and then I gave him his money back because a bit was missing!
  8. Teignmouth boys who came home a couple of years ago for a great gig on the seafront for the locals. As ever a great and loud show! Nice that a 'huge' band would come back home for the locals.

Possibly a tad dear, but the etched kit would have to cost £120+ to start with. I've been quoted £300+ for a professional build of something similar. I agree it does look nice..

Ah but it's from our friend Mr Micmcm of Cartmel. The only place for that load of rubbish is in the bin.

I'll have to dig a few of my old ones out!
  12. Just seen the same group of Finns on the tele, that were next to us yesterday celebrating their silver in the windsurfing! Our 470 boys doing well in the last points race.

  14. Re6/6 took a head first, four foot vertical tumble through his conservatory glass. Netherhope gained some unwanted glazing and a glass shard cut down one of the trees. Not recommended!

Yes thank you Tim. A bit sore all over mind. Methinks a lucky escape.

Mike, I've often wondered if some of these 'traders' declare their income from Ebay to the revenue.....
  16. Thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated.

Auntie Wainright lives!...without the please of course. Seriously though it's all very irritating.
  18. Go on, you know that you want to! BTW, what is it? Swedish?
  19. It's good to see that NR have bought the high output factory train from Windhoff for the GWML which can install and test 1.4 km per night so once that job is completed the MML should get done relatively quickly one would have thought. http://www.railwayga...tory-train.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFg0EOUJNrc
  20. ..............and so you should!

We at DRAG have seen most of these on the test track and they are all lovely things. I hope that he gets a good price for them. One to watch! I wonder how long it will take him to build locos in the larger scale!
  22. Yes, Gordon's book is probably one of the best 'instructional' books that I've ever bought. If you want to make trees this book is a must. I adapt his methods to suit myself (as we do in all things modelling). The kind words are much appreciated, but I'm still learning!

Could have bought one with loco attached for a third of that price http://cgi.ebay.co.u...cvip=true&rt=nc Don't know if it was the 'slimline' model mind you! Anyway well sold Chris!
  24. Twice the pleasure for Re6/6 today. Olympic tickets arrived and a 'by return' order of the new Noch 'XL' 10mm fibres (from Hawkwells of Blackwell..usual disclaimer) has arrived and will be experimented with today. They certainly look just the thing for very long grass in 4mm!.

Are Blackwells still going? I remember the days when they used to be a major stockist of Hornby spare parts.

Sounds interesting ...the fibres not the Olympics !!
