  1. The Crankpin is a different longer length for the Oil Drive. Remove the wheels/axle from the chassis Remove the driver from the axlePush the crankpin out the rear of the wheel it has a T fitting on the end . Line the new Crankpin up with the T shape in the rear of the driver and push through fully home into the wheel. Replace the wheels and axle back into the chassis. Refit the Coupling Rods on the nearside only. Look through the wheel spokes after first lining up roughly 45 degrees around from the wheel on the other side. Line the wheels on the same side until all the Crankpins are in line. Leave the Coupling Rod on the front two wheels on, it will help when lining the wheels up. Push the wheel onto the end of the axle which has a knurled finish , it should slide back on without any force. If it wont go back on move the wheel slightly either way until it slides back on . Ensure the Crankpins are in line , replace the Coupling Rod and test under low power. Once running ok ,then place the Oil Drive Bracket onto the Crankpin , and test again.
  2. MARC Models owner I believe was suffering from Dementia or similar?. A lot of problems re orders etc etc as a result. I believe again, that the business was then closed down. Strangely I looked a while ago and the Website was still active. No idea if anything can be obtained , I decided not to try any contact.
  3. These might come in handy in 4mm and 7mm https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/276014534743?hash=item4043bf9057:g:zYAAAOSwANNk6GK5
  4. Alan Gibson Bogie Wheels always come with Pinpoint, and OO and EM Flat end Axles. No idea if the axles are the same diameter/size as the ones in the pictures.
  5. Does anyone know a correct email address for them please?. I have has the sales@branchlines.com bounce back twice this week. thanks Mick
  6. The Steam Reverser was on the other side of the Loco. Thanks for photo, the Cab details are a great help. Ta Mick
  7. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292166288208?hash=item440677c350:g:WiQAAOSwfcVUANg~&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4BBXMxdnIvEg9eXj5SwyVtP7NTHSsUkwiaHMYLzOcBlmCtmAlIni7aP04zA%2FES8BR%2Fri%2FZeZakZz5wa%2FAeSNLT9W4Ca8UwtAbBoIQPAfqBRp5dH0L8xszup0jRV%2BCvnNkIiiRRPtYPsN559mSoxqsOlmK3lfyj%2BNA5wzNDkMOkzO0XoQVSO4nKm6gObGqmqKTZXOhw68WkZ8JkY%2BVE48G%2Fux8874f8PDynDA1%2BVPXr1fLYOPtuGhVMgIJgFSNPz3xP2L8aLoYpySsdvZvYypD92DEQWpWqLspE9Pu6w2px0l|tkp%3ABk9SR6Cevr7bYg
  8. Same re the Wheels as well, simply send it back while you still have current Warranty .
  9. Jon or anyone else ??. Just started a LRM kit of the LNER B16 . The Steam Reverser has been simply ignored in the kit. Does anyone have close up photos of its layout?, as nearly all of the above photos are sadly AWOL . Thanks Mick
  10. Oxford J27 taken back to LNER version from a lightly damaged ebay BR version buy . The previous owner was very liberal with Poly Cement when gluing in a crew , he even managed to get Glue on the Tender and Fall Plate and break off two of the Locos Brake Hangers just to finish the job off !. Dave Bradwell castings for the Boiler fittings including a Smokebox Door , extra Rivets on the Footplate removed. Resprayed and numbered as a J26 as I couldnt find any pre war photos of J27 towing a 2 Rail Tender in the LNER 1928-1939 period. Good value Loco.
  11. J24 finished. The photos show how far out the Boiler Firebox and Smokebox sides were out . They should have been the same height as the Smokebox front. I realised on looking at those photos the Firbox was assembled incorrectly removed and the shape re done in the other photos. The chassis was another gem, in the end two axle holes were out of line on one side and the other side the other hole was out as well. Castings are from Arthur Kimber, his daughter was very helpful with all the parts needed. Scratch Cab Interior the seats provide on the etch were totally wrong shape.
  12. RE Montegos a long time ago the thing was knackered either way. Wheel Bearings? Most cars still had Drum Brakes on at least the rear . Re comments re Car Industry , we dont have one because of all the Industrial actions which self destructed them , the same as the Coal Industry etc etc . Not surprising that people still remember what they were like then and now. Without and Rose Tinted Spectacles being used. The Car industry self destructed itself and that applies to the designs and build quality of the terrible rust buckets of virtually all makes at the time. They were designed to trap water, poor painting and general design standards from the 1930's . I can remember seeing new Ford Granada shells on the back of Car transporter being moved from on factory to another still bare metal in Dagenham. Wonder what happended to them when it rained !!??. Look at modern cars when was the last time did you see one with serious corrosion. Current Cars simply are designed and built better by Computers etc etc. Their weakness now is the electronics and the numerous filters being used not the build quality.
  13. The only problem maybe the Bogie hitting the Side Steps , not a lot of room for any sharp curves.
  14. I have driven MG Maestros, Sherpas , J4, Metros , 1100, Allegros and a MG Montegos (with seizing kingpins when it wasnt moving luckily) . All Company owned and very typical lower end 1970's & 80's mass produced "Cars/Vans " . They may have been "fast" between the numerous failures/faults. I never trusted the brakes to actually work to find out. They must have all been ones from BL famous Friday afternoon special examples . No I have never owned one !!! 🫣
  15. The first time I have ever heard/read of someone calling a Maestro "nice" !!!😂 A simply Dreadful vehicle , as all BL rust buckets of that era !!
  16. What Decals have actually got ? I cannot find any "GER" decals listed on the current HMRS site . I cannot remember them ever making any GER decals, in the past ten years or longer.
  17. I think they missed a full stop, it should read £1.85 !!!!🤣
