  1. Really hope BT can sort our broadband and phone line out soon, I'm down to 2gb of data on my phone!!

      Stop downloading those dodgy videos...

      Captain Kernow

The library is but a few scant paces away from Brinkly Towers!

Advice - keep generating complaints with them, also try having an 'on-line' conversation with their fault eeam. Can be frustrating, but I think it eventually helped get an actual engineer out to sort our fault out. Of course, you'd have to take your laptop down to that nice library just around the corner, sit in a quiet corner and sample one of their nice lattes.

  2. Day three without hard-wired broadband, thank god for 3G on phones! This is like a prison sentence!

Oh yes... Watch any 11yo with a no electronics day a week... Mine barely manages it!

      Huw Griffiths

I take it you mean the tabloid image of prison - with free Sky TV, mobile phones - illicit drugs on tap - and nobody serves more than half their sentence?

Sorry - couldn't resist that one - I'm sure the regimes are tougher than that

  3. Off to Railwells tomorrow and just completed a couple of cattle wagons, life is good!

3mm tastic. Don't mention OO or ask them if "that's a Hornby train?" or "have you got the Flying Scotsman?". Follow the black & yellow Railwells signs for free parking.

      Thank you Tim!

  4. The body of the Parkside D1661 has gone together nicely, I've also included some prototypical notes on my workbench thread - might be of use to someone.

Do it. I'd rather be tinkering with LGB in the garden any day of the week! Fun to work on in summer, then sounds very special running in the snow.

Nice new image, by the way, looks much more like you.

  13. Picture the scene. We (teachers) are not meant to check our emails during class time; fair enough, we are working. So one of the middle leaders sends an email out at 3:11 (children go home at 3:15) saying 'Please retain a set of books for September so we can check the coverage.' Email the day before was 'Send all books home today!' Honestly, some people have no common sense.

Probably "strenglich verboten" these days - haven't you heard - wasters always seem to have "human rights", even if everyone else doesn't.

After all, you know the reason corporal punishment was banned in schools? They ended up with some kids who were allowed to be disciplined and some who were not.

I suspect the ones who needed sorting out were in the "can't touch me" group.
