  1. Shame they don't appear to be going for new coaches and class 88s
  2. Didn't there used to be a rule that glasses were prohibited on steam locomotives?
  3. Having once tripped on a loop of cable in ballast and spending 8 months having traction I hate to see things 'awaiting' recovery
  4. So much for so called defensive driving that second one is quite close to the colourlight
  5. Trouble is Wilkinson let his mouth go and antagonised train crew before this dispute kicked off. One way of calming things down a bit would be to sack him as he is not really competent for his role
  6. Whoever left all that crap lying around and those cables like that deserves sacking. Network rail preaches to train operators about the most trivial things yet it can't keep its own house in order
  7. Being really pedantic semaphores are still on the ECML at Peterborough Eastfield , it's technically a yard off the line but you can be routed through it
  8. Thats basically an export SD40 so no silencer. I think class 66s would be slightly likeable if they were unsilenced and possibly quieter in the no1 cab
  9. With regards to the IBs I read somewhere that they were installed in the 50s for the extra holiday traffic the line had to cope with when the M&GN closed I could never really get my head around the semaphore IB at Thetford , why it was classed as one. It may have been something to do with the closure of Thetford East
  10. I know you are lucky in keeping your hair. I've got a bit more back after chemotherapy but wouldn't recommend that as a way of hair restoration!
  11. You can still see it's you Mick, you haven't changed too much
  12. It's not too bad, at least it does centre on the railway rather than on some hillbilly's that live near it Are those big GEs and GMs heavily silenced. I haven't heard any noise from them. There was a shot of a GM idling and it had the same turbo wine of a 66
  13. That thumper looks to have a decent paint job, but why the stupid colour scheme and headlight?
  14. Was the interlocking still set up for it until the end? If so I suppose it would have be quite easy to have reinstated it
  15. What happened to 28 signal at Brandon? In the latter daysof the timber trains the loco has to go to Thetford to run round the wagons
  16. At the end the only IBs were Lakenheath on the up and down, Brandon on the down and the rather strange semaphore one on the down
  17. I'm surprised that old dear didn't have a heart attack, not only did she think she was about to be hit by a train, some nutter came out of nowhere and stole her bag
  18. When was Attleboroughs IB removed? Others that went in the 80s were Padnal , Two mile Bottom and Hethersett There were quite a lot of round top distants up until the end Brandon and Lakenheath come to mind The three aspect at Thetford on the down was quite interesting as it was I believe of LNER origin
  19. Excellent again David It looks like someone has forgotten to remove the taillamp on the cravens
  20. Looks excellent Andy so much nicer than modern signals. Do you know where it is from?
  21. Sorry Mick York yard south where the line in the picture originates. Until York was resignalled in 88 you still got an S for Scarborough if heading for York shed from York yard south even though I believe the connection for the actual Scarborough line was removed in the early 70s
  22. Hi Mick, I didn't realise the connection from yard south to the Scarborough line was originally single track
  23. Was the original intention to make the dublo range in HO scale?
  24. I don't mind them but there are often errors in them. The last issue had errors regarding the multi working equipment of the first three D800s, and stated that the D600s had four main reservoir pipes when two were obviously regulating air pipes
