JSpencer
Drool... Nice picture but I a see a mechanical link arm to - I guess an oil pump - is broken in this image. (compare with green where it is fixed).

Southernman46
Hmmm - something I can't quite put my finger on ............. might just be those wheels
pete_mcfarlane
Is there a little bit too much daylight under the chassis? Or is the keeper plate missing from the sample models?
Butler Henderson
Cab size? Certainly seems to be narrower than the Craftman model.

RMweb Gold Godfrey Glyn Posted July 4, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 4, 2017 Unfortunately I cannot find a full side on photo but here are some I took of the Eastleigh 07 back at their Open Day in May 2009. Hopefully it provides some help in making a judgement, assuming that no major modifications have been made to 007 in recent times. I am sure there are many more to be found on Carl Watson's excellent photo site on the work at Eastleigh Works - www.carlwatson.com Looking forward to this release. all the best Godfrey
Wigan Wallgate OO Gauge
Could it be the cab roof horns?
BrushVeteran
The only thing I can see that is in the picture of the blue one the lubricator drive has come unclipped away from the frame, but as I was part of the team that measured the real thing everything else looks as it should be. We measured 07010 at Bitton and received other measurements from the East Lancs for the extra air brake version. As far as I know the wheels are correct.
Horsetan
Cab size? Certainly seems to be narrower than the Craftman model. Does look shorter than the Craftsman example, but appears in proportion compared to the photos of the real thing. It may the Craftsman kit that needs correction. JeffP
Chassis doesn't look deep enough to me. Too far of the rail tops.
No Decorum
If it works as well as the 05, I shall be happy. If it performs like one of my Heljan Panniers, I shall not. Looking forward with trepidation, as usual.
Ray M
Chassis doesn't look deep enough to me. Too far of the rail tops. Agreed. it dose look like the chassis, comes down to at least the wheel rims. on the real one.
peak experience
Yes, it seems as though the steps on the model are lower than the bottom of the chassis whereas on the real thing the chassis extends below the steps.
RMweb Gold Godfrey Glyn Posted August 20, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 20, 2017 For a recent low level shot of the 07 in the Eastleigh works see this: https://sisuktrainpix.smugmug.com/2017/August-2017/i-CWLgbvK/A All the best Godfrey
Andy Y
I didn't take a picture of the underside of the model but I was looking at it closely the other day and it would be comparatively easy to make a plate to sit beneath the keeper plate if the height offends. 80thou plasticard would do it.
