cal.n
Just got an email from Hattons saying the Hornby 2018 will be announced Monday 8th January 2018. https://www.hattons.co.uk/hornby2018 Not sure why Hornby have opted to do this now rather than at Warley as normal but I think it's something to do with Mr Kohler's return. It was early New Year for years and then moved to just prior to Christmas a few years ago. Warley announcements only happened in the last couple of years or so and even then it was not the entire range.
woodenhead
And the day after (or is it before) is Bachmann - that will be a week of froth, excitement, disappointment and general discussion. If you don't like that sort of stuff, be warned. Andy will be hiring extra mods no doubt that week

cal.n
I’ll be the first to wishlist, a KUA wagon or a mk5 coach are the only things on my list I think Hornby have a chance of announcing. Is it pure chance both Hornby and Bachmann’s 2018 are the same day? Or is it chance that it’s a weekend near the start of the year with no large shows about? RMweb Gold Vistisen Posted December 11, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 11, 2017 Presumably Bachmann and Hornby will be using the January 2018 announcements to herald in the 2015 announcements? Mike. Actually it's only Bachmann as the independent Hatton's project status page shows much better than I could ever argue: http://www.hattons.co.uk/projectupdates?utm_source=ehattons.com&utm_medium=redirect&utm_campaign=ehattonsredirect&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=projectupdates As you can see Here Hornby has produced nearly everything they have announced whereas Bachmann have a backlog from Sping 2013 that has not got further than CAD

woodenhead
That has given me an idea for the next big gimmick feature - working water scoops. Peco could do the troughs to fix the Bullhead rail. Would work brilliantly with DCC and a little servo in the tender. Can't seen any possible downside to this.
