I hope a BR Standard 5MT in Green Livery comes not only as digital but also as analog when they announce this class' releases finally next year.

Given all previous models have followed a sound and no sound set up you can safely assume all Standard 5MT's will be available with and without sound

As long as you're content to run them light engine...😐

Do they look different to the 00 Models they showed as placeholders back since 2019?

Seems like they could get announced with the next round in February.

I suspect that additional Standard 5 locos will be in the May announcement, as the previously announced Standard 5 locos are listed as due 'Jun/Jul'.

They’re the same (same liveries, same tender types) just smaller 😉

Got quite a funny email from Rails if Sheffield earlier.

"Big Bachmann Delivery Tomorrow!" screamed the subject title.

Scrolled through it to find the N scale items.

A caravan, that's it!

Three versions of the class 24 landed yesterday at Monk bar Modelshop.

The Farish website shows the next releases of Mk1s…just a Blue/Grey TSO   SK and BSK not expected until late spring next year!

Hello Andy,

I can see an SK on the website but not a TSO ?

Regards,

Ian.

Sorry my error SK is correct.

Thanks for the confirmation Andy, I wasn't sure whether you had any 'better' information with being involved at Monk Bar. I've probably got just about enough Blue /Grey stock but another couple of SOs wouldn't go amiss. There were a couple up for grabs on Ebay recently but I'd already blown my monthly budget so had to pass.

Kind regards,

Ian.

Retailer exclusive or regional one I would wager.   After all it is the 60th Anniversary of XP64 in 2024 so I wouldn't be surprised if that is on a post-it note at Barwell already.

Does the Farish 47 tooling include the original three part fixed radiator grills though?

371-825C was in the 2020 brochure with those grilles, so yes.....

So we should expect to see it in 2025 or 2026 then given the treatment of Farish's 50 anniversary.

Hi Gang,

Some of the first releases of ‘new-tooled’ models had a selection of two-tone green examples with the 3 radiator arrangement. It would be interesting to see Kirk Bachman did do an XP64 loco, if they would elect for a prototype or a Virgin sponsored repainted version….or even both, despite the body and end detail differences.

Later,

Stu from EGVN
