Popular Post Rugd1022
Every time I come back to this thread the memories of working on all of the 50s at Old Oak come flooding back - the sounds, the smells and the thrill of opening them up out of Padd on a rake of Mk1s or Mk2s, or even just pottering about the depot or doing the Acton and Park Royal trips with them. If you were on the shed turn you could easily drive ten or more of them in a shift, in and out of the servicing shed and on or off the 'table, taking them round to the Factory or fetching them out after a bit of attention. If the Factory had them on restricted working whilst awaiting parts etc we'd use them to turn the Penzance sleepers and take the stock over to Willesden via Greenford, West Ealing and Acton Wells, and it was a regular occurrence to have them on the Aylesbury papers. If I had a pound for every cuppa I've downed sitting in the cab of a 50 on the blocks at Padd I'd be well in by now! I usually found them easier to drive standing up, as if I had the seat high enough to see over the desk my feet would barely reach the dead man's treddle! 30

RMweb Gold big jim Posted May 14 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 14 (edited) Is there a glitch in the shop? I’ve had confirmation that I’ve paid for 50007 and it’s on its way but also another order for it has appeared dated today (different order number though) TBH I can’t remember paying for it, i know I did an instalment payment plan on something from the site once before but can’t remember which order it was so it may well be paid for! I’ve also had reminders to pay for a couple of 66s, are those actually due to be paid now too? Edited May 14 by big jim

The order part of my accurascale account said it had been paid, but, the money hadn't gone out of my account. There has clearly been a glitch, and, I will will pay for Defiant nearer to when it is due for shipping.

At the top is an order for 55013 and saying 'pay now'. If I scroll down the page, the same order appears again but its showing as paid. (it is paid). Same thing for D423, like I ordered 2 of them but I haven't.

I think Accurascale have mentioned there was a problem with partially. No doubt they are aware of the situation, and, are working to resolve it. As I have previously said, I am not going to worry about it. I will pay when I need to.

There was a discussion under the 89 thread but essentially partial.ly flagged a number of orders as paid that were not. Where that happened we have closed out the original order and raised a new order for the balance correctly. If anyone has any concerns do please reach out to support

tlm
Yep - me too They're not due until August 2024 at the earliest so imagine my delight when I spotted the email below in my system this evening. Sadly it's obviously a mistake, but for a moment I was tempted to phone the couriers to check whether or not they had any outstanding deliveries for me. Sadly the domestic authorities will never believe that I've not had yet another delivery that I've managed to get past her somehow !
DLIBOD17
I’ve had an email asking me to review the 50017 model. No doubt a few more months before it lands here so like the gentleman above I’m not worrying & ignoring the message 👍🏻

RMweb Gold Popular Post Accurascale Fran Posted May 17 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted May 17 Hi everyone, Recently we were able to show you the first decorated samples of our all new Class 50 main range of locomotives. Many of you did ask if we could reveal the Accurascale Exclusive pair of 50007 and 50149, so here is the first, 50149! Before reading on, please note that this is a well used test sample which will have lots of corrections made on the production models that modellers will receive, including paint application, printing and general fit and finish. These include; That gap Translucent Rf General logo Marker lights should be opaque, tail lights should be red Pick ups will be chemically blackened Anyway, rest of the blog here: https://www.accurascale.com/blogs/news/unveiled-our-act-of-pure-defiance And onto images! RMweb Gold 97406 Posted May 17 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 17 It’s a shame that the freight project didn’t come to fruition. I recall it was in part due to the lack of sanding equipment which had been removed during refurbishment. It always seemed a daft thing to do to them. I also recall a Lima 50 resprayed in original Railfreight livery in Rail Enthusiast magazine when the project was announced,

Peter749
I know of posts mentioning "The Gap" - is that the body to buffer beam gap which, because of the colour of the plastic, looks noticeable? Peter
