Looking at the video these guys obviously Class 60 fans , so I imagine this will be a bit special . Brave going up against one of Hornbys better models , but I suppose theyve already done that and proved it could be succesful with the 56

Well it was only a matter of time before someone did it! Looks the part too.

Might have to get an EWS one 😉

It's also good to see that what happened with the class 91s hasn't deterred Cavalex from going head to head with the red box crew. 56 and now the 60!

Would love to know what you guys have against Transrail livery 😉

We need the Big 'T' version most certainly... 😉

Cracking announcement and will be very popular.

Well that was a surprise.

As much as I like my Hornby 60s and I regard that model very highly, if there's a requirement for more on DL or BF, it'll wait until Q4/24!

Good luck to Cav and Alex and the rest of the team with this project.

(And if you want to test run one - give me a shout!)

This is sure to be a great model so a win for modern modellers!

Reasonable to assume that it will prompt Hornby to respond with some sort of price drop for the existing (and very good) model so another win!

I look forward to some more livery announcements in the coming months.

Price is TBC, but dosent stop rails asking £30 deposit.

Pity theres no indication of price, even if its a rough estimate.

Interested in this and the 56 but the lack of price means i wont preorder.

I'm hoping we will get an MSRP in the next week or so.    I'd expect it to be comparable to contemporary models from other manufacturers (But that is just my guess based on experience!) as has been the case with the 56.

By the way, not all retailers are requiring deposits, if you want to secure a model...  :)

When I saw this announcement was going to be made I thought it would either be a 58 or a 60.

Would really like to see a price before I decide to take the plunge or not. I have one 56 on Pre-order but the lack of price on the DCC Sound versions of that also puts me off.

I'm sure it will be made kown as soon as possible however 🙂

It looks excellent, but not something I am particularly excited about. I have a Hornby 60 and it won't be going on eBay as a result of this. In a similar manner as to why I haven't got more Hornby 60s, I don't think I will be rushing out for one of these. Saying that, present day probably isn't the main target here despite Cavalex doing a good job of catering for it. I expect the sectorisation ones will be the biggest sellers.

I do think if I do get one it would be the Cappagh one and some appropriate JNAs from Revolution for it to pull.
