The R2D2 is a Thinkway Star Wars R2-D2 Interactive Droid. Got it from Argos about 6 or 7 years ago.

C3PO is a Jakks Pacifics/ Big Figs figure. They are really difficult to find, unless you want to spend silly money on Ebay. Mine was from Amazon about 2 months ago. Cost around £80 and came from Spain.

It's pretty basic, but plenty of YouTube videos on how to upgrade it.

Finally managed to get a 32" high C3PO to go with my 18" R2D2. It's moulded vinyl and wasn't the least bit gold. Prepping vinyl is awkward. It doesn't like coarse abrasive. Bought two cans of gold spray and the second was totally different to the first. The third matched the second so had to redo these.

Been to hot for spraying the rest.

Just went back to your original post having seen your latest one on the finished C3PO and I noticed that the parts are on a Lister engine of some sort - diesel boat or small auxiliary farm engine?  - I'm intrigued, what is it?  (looks a great thing to have in the workshop!)

Yes it's a Lister D. It was my first restoration project. Bought for £30 in 1987 from a farm in Heywood just outside Westbury. I had just left school so my Grandfather lent me the money. Took the flywheel of and it came home in the front of my Dad's Ital, with my Grandfather sitting next to it. Wouldn't part with it for anything. I also have a Lister A. Having scaled up to a steam roller I had to scale down once the family came along and they are all I have left.

A lockdown project, 1:72nd scale Airfix Spitfire F 22.  I managed to lose the windscreen, so set it aside  otherwise complete for quite a while then as the screen hadn't magically turned up, I bought a replacement vac-formed canopy off e-bay.  That let me finally finish it.

The hanger is from  a laser cut card kit reinforced with wood strip. It's sitting on a board painted with a concrete-ish coloured paint that a nice lady in B&Q mixed up for me.

The 2 Spifires at the back are a PR Mk XI (MPM kit) in Danish markings and a PR XIX (Airfix kit) in Swedish markings.  Also lockdown projects and the theme was post-war Spitfires. All these were still flying in the early to mid fifties.

Having them in the Hangar setting really makes it.

I have the big Airfix Spitfire, can't remember the scale, but it's still in its box. Just wouldn't go together properly. Had to cut bits off the engine and then gave up on it. I'm hoping the retooled version will be better.

and with the pod in place although it won't be when I'm finished as I want to do small diorama with Thunderbird 4 being launched...

Earlier this week I was at the RAF Museum in Hendon and bought an Airfix Spitfire Mk1 kit.  Today I found an unopened Jet Provost kit in a charity shop for £3.  I already have about a dozen not started model aircraft kits in the round tuit pile.

Please help.

This is supposedly 1/600th scale but if so it would be about twice as long as an aircraft carrier:

There aere some shots in the film of TB2 alongside but I don't think the scale is very consistent from shot to shot.
