RMweb Premium Michael Edge Posted September 26, 2014 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted September 26, 2014 Since I have one of the Carlisle Princesses here at the moment (on its way back to France next month), I'll bring it along to Scaleforum in case anybody wants to have a look. This one is 46205, first one I built off the original etch. We will have a sample of the latest revision with us as well, all sold but about to be re-ordered. RMweb Premium Blandford1969 Posted October 3, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 3, 2014 Hi, Noting the comments on the Fowler 2-6-2 are there any plans for those etches to be released more generally / will chassis be available separately? RMweb Gold farren Posted October 3, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 3, 2014 I second the chassis that would save me some work as I have a body already.
RMweb Premium Michael Edge Posted October 4, 2014 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted October 4, 2014 Hi, Noting the comments on the Fowler 2-6-2 are there any plans for those etches to be released more generally / will chassis be available separately? Hold on a bit, I've got to build two of these yet (for customers) and I haven't even finished the etch drawing. Just to add a bit more interest the other half of this sheet will have the LNER V4 on it (or as much of it as I can fit on).
Horsetan
.... the other half of this sheet will have the LNER V4 on it (or as much of it as I can fit on). I was half-hoping it would be a K4, but you can't have everything.....
RMweb Gold farren Posted October 4, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 4, 2014 If we're lucky the k4 will be on the etch with the stanier 2 - 6 - 2t the thought of which has just come to Michael. Someone please pass my coat
Blue Max
The V4 sounds good to me, will put that on the wants list. And perhaps after the J10 we might see the GCR Tiny (Q4) loco, an impressive looking engine.
Horsetan
If we're lucky the k4 will be on the etch with the stanier 2 - 6 - 2t.... I wish.
PenrithBeacon
... the stanier 2 - 6 - 2t ...Somewhere the Fowler 2-6-2T seems to have morphed into the Stanier 2-6-2T. I suspect most people would prefer the Fowler because it has a parallel boiler! Regards
RMweb Gold farren Posted October 5, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 5, 2014 No not morphed just added
Jan
I was half-hoping it would be a K4, but you can't have everything..... I was half hoping it was a Y4, but t'was not to be. Of course, having the wherefore for a Y4 is another issue.

Horsetan
Made a start anyway I just like the way Michael D. asked for help, then thought "Sod it, I'll do it myself."
PenrithBeacon
Made a start anyway OK so some of us have a different understanding of 'start'! Looking great Michael. Regards
RMweb Premium Michael Edge Posted October 19, 2014 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted October 19, 2014 I couldn't help you, never built any in 2mm (or anything else for that matter). However we both think you're doing very well so far. Try Alex Duckworth on here for advice - he's built a few of our etches very succesfully. Michael Delamar
Thanks gents, it would be tricky i think if it were to be built with the chassis as the cranks are tiny, however the owner has his chassis own for it, i imagine it will probably be RTR 0-4-0. The body went together just like any other JE kit, very nice.
