Yes, yes they do.

Unless they mean it’s rare to find one in that condition, which it probably (hopefully) is.

I think its a combination of both.

Rare to see such a rubbish model

being sold at such a ridiculous price.

Oh, hang on, there's Gostude,

there's Rocket Railways!!!

A "rare opportunity" to pay well over the odds for a model that isn't exactly rare (do they mean rare as in "Not. well done"?) isn't exactly a rare thing on eBay is it?

More like 'overdone'......or

Done, as being sold a pup.....

Quality rubbish sir, you could of course, spend a lot less money on the kit and make a much better job of building it yourself. I do like the downward slope of the boiler too.

Thanks though for turning us back from our reminiscing to the delights of overpriced cr@p

Think you've just stumbled on their business model............:P

Looks like the Mary Shelley School of Modelling has opened its doors again - maybe we still need to keep our distance though.

From the Antique Toy Shop.  "Simply Stunning" it says in the description - I can confirm that I certainly was stunned:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GRAHAM-FARISH-KIT-BUILT-PRO-MODELS-BR-4-6-2-CLASS-A2-LOCO-60533-HAPPY-KNIGHT-na/111321257725?hash=item19eb4396fd:g:vEgAAOxycD9TQtqL

£279.50 (what's with the 50p??) for gloopy paint on a crude body with solid wheels and manky old Farish valve gear.  But it's Pro-Built!  (second cousin to Pro-Weathering, obviously.)

I don't know about Happy Knight but I'm sure they would have a happy night if somebody buys it :D

I thought Happy Knight looked as if it had been left out in the sun and had run a bit, then I saw Brown Jack...

Perhaps they had been put in an oven to encourage the paint to dry?

On the other hand, the vendor of Brown Jack is offering a single-buffered Triang Hornby 08 shunter for an almost reasonable £11.69 when you factor in postage...

£260 after 10 bids? I know that someone will come on and say that it's obviously "worth" what someone was prepared to pay for it and blah blah yak yak, but seriously?

Some people clearly have far too much money. You buy it, you read it, you stick it on the shelf with all the rest.

Something l have noticed in all auctions is that some people will pay way over the odds for an item, just to say that they beat everyone else.

The seller is naturally laughing all the way to the bank.

Are we sure that Brown Knight isn’t made of marzipan & icing?

Hilarious really, start it at a fiver or 100 notes B-I-N!  Guess that's why he's a beginner with a rating of '2' !

In other news, fancy an electric loco?
