RMweb Premium Physicsman Posted January 25, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 25, 2013 "Another" Jeff - you mean there are TWO of us!? Seriously, T is looking wonderful Andy. And built at relative warp speed. Lots of nice touches there - where did you get your "Smith", "Swain" etc adverts from? When I need perking up - in the middle of 3 pages of posts on embankments on KL - I need look no further than here or Jason's Bacup. Have a good running session! Jeff Hi Jeff, my other name is Buzz Lightspeed, hahaheee, I will have to re read the whole of KL when I get a room like yours old son. The adverts were a free give away in one or two of the mags, I had one set about 5 or 6 years ago and they are replicatedin N, OO and O so I still have some for my N Gauge project, Glenfinick, and the NEXT BIG OO LAYOUT, hahaaa Signed, HS 3 Edited January 25, 2013 by Andrew P
Andrew P
O.K. good people, here are the a few of the 70 plus pics I took at this evenings running session in between cups of coffee and buiscits and putting the world to rights. You may also notice I have added a couple of my Trade Mark Birds in the sky. I also had to sort out some chip and CV issues on a couple of Jeffs (Binny) OO Locos. so it was a most enjoyable evening Andy.

I've put a couple of replies in KL.... and I like your cutting idea....a lot of things will be sorted over the next 2 days - so keep watching. As for Trebudoc - and you look to ME for inspiration. RMweb Premium Jason T Posted January 26, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 26, 2013 Fantastic Andy, adding the station has given the layout a great new dimension and (dare I say it?) improved it no end. I see that you fixed the skylights in the garage too All it needs now is a viaduct like Jeff's
Kev_Lewis
Great photo's, Andy. I really like the low angle shot of the pannier coming under the bridge. Trebudoc is looking superb.

Jason, well yes I could do with a nice viaduct like the one at Liskard, I will commission Jeff to build it. Kev, I did a similer shot on St Budoc, see attached pic Monster Lune.
Kev_Lewis
Kev, I did a similer shot on St Budoc, see attached pic It's a good angle. It makes the loco and layout feel more real, I think, because it's the angle you'd be looking from in real life.
Andrew P
Kev, here are some more of my favorites from St Budoc I dont think I will be able to replicate this in N Gauge, hahahh Andy
jcm@gwr
Hi Andy, Very realistic, it was only the wall socket that gave it away in the 2nd photo! Jeff
Kev_Lewis
Lots of great photo's there. Andy. This is why I moved up to O gauge, it looks real! Hopefully, we'll get a bit of space cleared soon and I'll be able to make a start on my own O gauge layout. Thanks for the inspiration.

Andrew P
Cheers George, thanks for that, I am really pleased with the quality of the filming, Is it correct that you have been asked to film the IMPROVEMENTS to Jeff's (Phisycsmans ) Kirkby Luneside) and the next series of Great Railway Journeys ? Andrew P
Andy Great series of films. Just one question, are you going to detail the inside of the signal box? Duncan Hi Duncan, yes I am picking up the Signal Box interior on Sat at the Stafford Show, along with the platform benches, a Corragated Lamp Hut, Fire Buckes and HOPEFULLY some GWR platform lamps. Hi BIG Bob, good to hear from you mate, hope you are busy with your re sprays. we will do a coffee again soon, need a catch up. Andy.

I have also added a little chimney to the shed over the control panel, (sorry Jason, it may be the wrong type,) Andy. RMweb Premium Physicsman Posted January 27, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 27, 2013 What's this about commissioning me to build you a viaduct? I'd gladly accept the task when I get a bit of time. Though it might take as long as the one on KL.... a few weeks! What's the grass you've stuck in-between the sleepers, Andy? Is it static grass onto a bed of PVA.... nice colour - Autumn mix? Jeff
emt_911
Looks amazing. It sets the benchmark for me to aim for. Duncan

Jeff Morning Jeff, yes this 12ft long, 60 ft radius curved O Gauge viaduct, now then when did you say you could start it ? The grass is Static grass Autum mix on as you quite rightly say a nice bed of the dredded PVA. I love the changes you have made to KL and I will have another read of the last couple of pages over dinner, It will probably send me to sleep in the armchair, hhahahh Andy. Edit, forgot to say the viaduct has to be 2ft 8 1/4 inches high with 11 and a 1/2 arches in dressed stone hehhahehahehaheeeeee Edited January 28, 2013 by Andrew P
Andrew P
Good Morning Duncan, thanks for that, I am starting to learn that LESS IS MORE, especially with O Gauge, a couple of nice locos, a few wagons and some nice scenics is all you need. I saw and industrial O Gauge layout at one show, with an 08 and a couple of J94 types, about 8 wagons and it kept me hooked for ages, it was only about 12 ft x 2 ft. just shows what can be done Andy. RMweb Premium Physicsman Posted January 28, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 28, 2013 Andy - you disappoint me! Couldn't you have specified a slightly larger viaduct? The one above will only take me a day to build! How about a model that's got 24 arches, 104 feet high and 440 yds long. Tell you what - we'll call it Ribblehead! If me and George start today we can probably build it from 2mm ply in about 5000 years!! Jeff
