Back in the 80's I occasionally worked in Hatfield booking office and 'Glady's' (Ruth Madoc) used to commute from there. One day as she walked through she said 'Hi' to the regular booking clerk, he said 'Hi' back and then turned to me and said " The camera makes a bloody good job of making her look younger" not realising the window microphone was still on..... She didn't say 'Hi' to him any more

RMweb Premium melmerby Posted April 4, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 4, 2020 I found this amusing: "Mr Trump said at his press briefing on Friday that he would not be wearing a face mask despite it being recommended, because it would be "odd" to wear one in the Oval Office when greeting world leaders" The bloke's delusional if he thinks world leaders would want to meet him right now. 2

RMweb Gold SHMD Posted April 4, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 4, 2020 Masks have almost no effect/affect on the spread of Covid-19. Sources - WHO, HK study coupled with the NHS. They have a marginal effect if the patient is currently exhibiting strong symptoms and discharges. Kev. What's smiley here? - My bacon butty I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning.

This is the point. COVID-19 is spread by undetected asymptomatic cases in the community just by speaking. If everyone wears masks, then their ejecta (it doesn't need to be "strong symptoms and discharges") is far better mitigated than letting their spittle fly. 1
