67A
Hi all, Bit of a hectic weekend what with a visit to Hazel Grove show yesterday then my local Wirral show today, in between I have fitted an LED strip light which can give a multitude of colours and brightness but as you will see the photography needs a little work, here goes anyway... Note the first three are under normal lighting conditions. BR Std Class 2 2-6-0 78011 is hauling a short Iron Ore working northbound A southbound mixed goods heads for Hellifield where it will be split, one section will go to Leeds and the other to Manchester. The next lot are all under the new lights however I had no idea if they would be good or bad until I downloaded them, the results speak for themselves. and there's more...

67A
Peak D67 on 1S68 the 'Thames-Clyde Express' WD 2-8-0 90445 with a southbound train of 'Covhops' Back to normal lighting to close.............thankfully! It looks like some lessons in night photography are in dire need. I must say looking at the layout in the variable lighting does look very good its just a pity I can't yet transpose this vista to a photo. that's it guys.
ben pez
Cracking set of pics mike, and thanks for the WD!! Love the shot of it leaving the tunnel. I like the new lighting, looks like its starting to get dark and shows up all the lighting in the buildings, signal box etc to good effect. As you say, once you get sorted with camera settings it will be a lot easier. Cheers Ben

Are you using a tripod and delayed exposure ?just a thought as I'm no expert Hi Martin, No its a compact camera set on different night settings and propped up to 'prevent' shake. It looks like I may have to dig out my SLR, tripod and instruction manual!
Andrew P
UGH.............Sorry Mike but I NOW NEED SPECKSAVERS, it's done me eyes in mate. Such a shame as the shots, i.e.. the compositions were spot on as always, but that lighting is going to take some real working out to get a decent exposure. I'll look in again later mate. RMweb Premium Reorte Posted October 31, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 31, 2016 UGH.............Sorry Mike but I NOW NEED SPECKSAVERS, it's done me eyes in mate. Such a shame as the shots, i.e.. the compositions were spot on as always, but that lighting is going to take some real working out to get a decent exposure. I'll look in again later mate. The effect of darker lighting and lit buildings is apparent enough that the atmosphere is there, and looks like it works well, so I think that the working out will be worth it.

67A
Hi guys, Comments duly noted and there may be more truth in it than you think as my own left eye started showing signs of a problem developing so at lunchtime I went back to the eye dept. and had a thorough check, thankfully all appears to be okay possibly remnants of the last operation. Struggling to type with these drops still causing havoc so will sign out for tonight.
