Morning Mike just caught up hope the leg is ok from mutley.

What's next on dent to do. I am just at work planning my next layout ( I'm at Townley box and its 18 ft long ) so the drawing paper is on the floor. I've been up since 0500 last one till next wed happy days

Hi Mark,

Nice to hear from you and love the thought of planning on the floor!

Next on Dent is finish the damn signalbox, things have gone all to pot with all these medical visits, it means I end up doing the paperwork at home instead of at work!

I left home at 6am as I do every day :(

I left home years and years ago!

Which makes it even more amazing that you manage such a remarkable modelling output whilst, presumably, keeping the wife happy as well! You must have energy to spare!

Kind regards,

Jock.

I really did not know which button to press then! :jester: maybe its just my mind!

Well my odd-ball week continues it seems. Whilst I was obviously not myself and seemingly easily led I weakened I'm sorry to say. Its a bit more era-hopping yet again but I think Dr. Who has had a hand in it this time, see for yourself with the gallery below...

Mike your doing it again Mate, your TRYING to lead me astray again.

Lovely, Lovely, Lovely.

haha hahaha

Hello Andrew,

I wish someone would lead me astray! However its more likely I would be led away......!!!

I can just about justify the presence of the above as the actual loco's themselves were BR built and not some imported trash! I had though that the when the 47's were converted to 57's we would see far more of them than we actually have, great pity I really did like the 47 and it was 'easy' to work on.

Morning Mike, re the above shots again, it just shows how little Dent and its surroundings have changed over the Centuries. Just Vehicles, Dress Code, and Satellite dishes maybe to justify a 70 coming through.

A real pleasure to look at the pics, and roll on the weekend.

Hi Mike,

I've enjoyed seeing some 'modern' stuff through Dent, quite interesting and it leads me to think just what would you let run through!?!

Any Continental stuff!!?!! Ha, ha, ha!

Seriously, you're going to be on 100 pages very shortly (maybe with this post?) so may I be the first to congratulate you on a great milestone.

Cheers,

John.

Hi John,

Many thanks, the modern stuff 'to an extent' is fine but the infrastructure dictates the time-line for the purists, which I am not fully subscribed to but can't justify me myself buying the bang up to date stuff and running it through an obviously 1960's scene. However I am not averse to my mates bringing their 'tin boxes' around for a play! None of them have continental but my mate John does model American (but he's not well - you understand).

There will be a shock coming later today! Ideas welcome!!!

Always the way mate. I was fortunate back then in having a couple of uncles in road haulage who took me out and about, they would dump me at a station or shed while the loaded/unloaded. It was all a bit different in those days, oh how I miss them.

Sorry Duncan,

Meant to ask how long ago when you saw 61306?

08:10 this morning

Oh dear, and here was me thinking everyone has a phone (with a camera) these days! Bad luck mate!

I had the uncanny knack of waiting at some random location for something to happen for ages then as soon as I walked back to the car for a flask or something then 'something' would appear and I would miss it. Regular as clockwork I was.

Unfortunately, I do have a phone with a camera. It stays securely out of the way when travelling. Maybe a lesson learnt
