That means we'll probably have to pay a fee to post on this thread as fame gets a grip ;)

If your name's not on the list, you're not coming in. :keeporder:

Hi Rob,

Whilst flicking through YouTube this afternoon I came across some interesting short videos under the posters name..... gwrrob, very enjoyable mate, I didn't realise you'd done those.

For those looking for a Post-War Hornby G * W Castle there's a decent looking 'Wellington' on eBay at the moment. Just under 2 hours to go..

No connection with seller...

Cheers,

Mark

Went for £67 in the end plus postage.  Not a bad buy... ;)

Great article in MR Rob. You must be very pleased. Mr Nevard has achived something very special, he has made your layout look quite different from several angles. A set of the most excellent pics, especially the close ups of (e.g.) the main Station Building.  I suspect many people will get inspiration from this very well put together article.

There are some other really good things in the mag, and I am now going to find it very difficult to resist the Gate Stock in BR Green.

The recent thread about GW brown vans -  if I may ask, were these for churn traffic or what?  As y'aall may guess mine are tinplate 4 wheelers and did they run singly or in trains; in other words, how were they utilised in reality?  :offtopic:

Brian.

Treated as NPCCS Brian so yes - they could run attached to passenger trains either at the front of or behind the passenger carrying vehicles.  and used for a wide variety of traffics although some were specialised in use such as some of those used for milk.

Thanks for everyone's kind words but I'm yet to see the finished article after being out of the country. So did everyone miss me.

Very pleased to see the MR article, including a portrait of our host. And of course a seasoned snapper, coming into a new railway room, sees angles and opportunities the resident has overlooked. A great article and fully justified. Well done, Rob!

I like a seasoned snapper, especially with asparagus, new potatoes and a simple white sauce - not forgetting a glass or three of Hunter Valley semillon.
