RMweb Gold toboldlygo Posted October 20, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 20, 2018 How did you go about sorting this? I have the same problem on a Hornby 28xx. Frank The Heavy tanks are built differently to the 28xx (model wise that is), but to straighten the front end - it should be the same in theory. You'll need to remove the strengthening supports and make sure the front end of the running plate is clamped to the chassis, before refitting them. RMweb Gold Ian Hargrave Posted October 20, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 20, 2018 So despite the hijacking of your taxi at the racecourse....O mea culpa..you are (or were) Westward Ho. I shall now sleep guilt free tonight. Thanks to all for one great day out.Fabulous civilised fun for enthusiasts whose ages spanned eight decades. From Edward to ....er.......me. Coupled with two wonderful locomotives in autumnal Cotswold landscape....can one ask for more ? Enjoyed the company of a lovely bunch of guys above all else. Top that ? More please. Special thanks to Tim for herding cats. And then,of course,Robin, without whom none of this would have happened.

Clearwater
A great day out on a virtually perfect autumn day. Some camera phone snaps: Thanks to Ian H for his description of the line in its operational life. I hadn't appreciated that it was used by long distance services in contrast to the very branchline nature of most preserved railways. It starts to give the GWSR a different character more akin to the GCR than the (admittedly beautiful) chocolate box sleepy backwaters branch lines. SVR tomorrow! Trust all have got home safely. RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted October 21, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted October 21, 2018 Really enjoyed the trip to the Cotswolds and considering the relatively short distance from here compared to everyone else that came yesterday it's a preserved line I haven't visited much before. The motive power was very much in keeping with ANTB with a Manor rubbing shoulders with a Bulleid. Young Mallard was in his element when behind P & O. Thanks to all who made the effort to make it a memorable day. Here's my random selection of photos.

Clearwater
Today’s steed. Slipped pretty much to a stop leaving Highley. Doesn’t bode well for our departure from Bridgnorth. Similar load (8 or 9) to its big sister’s load on the GWSR David David Edit - we did pretty well. However, I think we had quite a lot of steam!
