A Nod To Brent - a friendly thread, filled with frivolity, cream teas and pasties. Longing for the happy days in the South Hams 1947.

Rather like OFSTED, they can just turn up and poke about (but in this case under your rugs rather than in your policies and procedures and toilets) and cause mayhem.

Fortunately they do not get involved with transport infrastructure or Pubs.

I was inspired by last night's talk of Black Puddings to prepare this light Black Pudding Medley Brunch this morning.

The first meal in my 1,000 calories per day hour crash diet.

Below are the various Black Puddings on the prep board.

The Portuguese version tastes better than it looks and (to get back on topic ?) the Pudding with the quasi "Railfreight" brandings tasted good

And we haven't even considered the Irish contenders - Conakilty or Boars's Head Kanturk or a proper Bury or Dudley Black Pudding....... or some Boudin Noir......or Bloodwurst.......or Korean Soondae........

So many varieties and variations and so little time....

Better stop before I get a PM from Rob.

A glorious hot summers evening in the South Hams sees 3864 on it's return trip with vans in tow.I've fitted class 3 headlamps along with a new Markits vacuum pipe to replace the missing one from it's return from general repair. :O

Lovely set of photos, Rob.

Just back from my travels in Czech Republic.

Flipping hot here but just had three weeks in temps averaging 30°. Good to be back though.
