BR(S)
Was it being used for measurement this morning, it was only trundling by slowly, say about 15-20mph? It was going slowly due to following a stopper.
brianusa
One of the most frustrating aspects of this camera is when you just catch the rear of a train. It needs another camera facing in the opposite direction! Brian.
RMweb Premium melmerby Posted June 22, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 22, 2014 One of the most frustrating aspects of this camera is when you just catch the rear of a train. It needs another camera facing in the opposite direction! Brian. If you have the live train tracker on screen as well you can see when a train is about to come past, if you have the sound on you can hear the exhaust for a few seconds before it appears. Keith PS anybody know why the train tracker was taken off the webcam page?
Granitechops
It was going slowly due to following a stopper. Interesting when I first spotted it, it was down beyond Coryton by the Parsons tunnel actually stopped, & there was no train in front, even in Dawlish station or right up to Redrock by Dawlish Warren after it had passed my, I was by Marine parade right beside the track I could hear the rails humming but it was NOT the usual thrub/singing it was a very electronic sounding, changing, "Song"

brianusa
Now I know why it would be impractical to point a camera in down direction. The guy next door in the up direction will soon have to trim his bushes also! Brian.

RMweb Gold Ramblin Rich Posted June 26, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 26, 2014 High tide & choppy now, some splashing over the line. Makes you realize how close the sea is to coming over, even in summertime...
RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted June 26, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 26, 2014 640D 1136 Teignmouth Chirk in rainy weather. cxcv.JPG And here's another view of the same train arriving at Newton Abbot for the run round. It was rather late, as the loco had been sitting in the bay platform at Newton Abbot station for 3 hours this morning, waiting for a road tanker to turn up with some fuel, no idea why the tanker was late. Granitechops
At 14.06 today the live web cam shows the borer exiting stage right just about an hour after low tide but the sea is rough so are they taking it to safety before the high tide? I just wonder wether it will fit between the wall & the station overhang uprights & go off under the viaduct or perhaps along the beach once its past the Old Lifeboat house but then the slipway by the viaduct is very uneven I am sure the Security guy will tell me
