  1. With the access to the GWR wagons book via this threads @BenL I've only just noticed Rapido have attempted the marks on the body of 86140 😉 Photo courtesy of Kernow.
  2. I can vouch for the free running John , amongst the best wagons I have in that regard.
  3. As promised and some afternoon delight from Rapido in the shape of three new wagons, V 14 Mink, O15 Open and Y4 Banana van. All three are superb and very free running.
  4. Received mine this evening and they are superb, photos on my layout thread anon. A nice touch including some pipes for those who like the dangly bits on their models.
  5. Having received mine this evening they look quite superb. Photos on my layout thread anon. Can anyone point me to a prototype photo of an O11/15 with the tarp bar in the resting position.
  6. You can’t beat the use of Lifecolor paints for doing some weathering.
  7. @Gilbert have a look at the photos taken of them in production late last year, they certainly look like the roof is removable.
  8. That's one of the ones I ordered @Kevin Johnson and as it's vac fitted will need some instanter couplings.😉
  9. None of these to be seen in a layout setting yet chaps.
  10. Lovely inspiring work as usual Mikkel. I wonder if the pantechnicon was ever transported by rail as it would make a great wagon load.
  11. With the release this week of the GWR wagons from Rapido, the V14/16 Mink A ,Y4 Banana and 011/15 open , would the vacuum fitted examples have instanter and non fitted, three link couplings .
  12. For those who like to use Hunt couplings the extra close [XC] version work nicely here on my tightest curves. You could probably go closer if you trimmed and glued them but that would be a permanent fix. I don't have any of the Ultra Close type in stock but will try these at a later date. I've also added the extra pipes as supplied in the polybag and they don't interfere with the running.
  13. I've fitted the extra pipes and screwlinks as supplied in the polybag. In my opinion these are cosmetic use only as they are very fragile. Extra close Hunt couplings bring the gap down nicely although a sliver of packing card is necessary to stop the slop in the NEM socket. Here they are behind my replacement Dapol mogul which has had the smokebox door changed to a correct GWR version.
  14. I would rather see Accurascale or Rapido tackle these John @Dunsignalling
  15. Anyone else having this problem, I'm on Virgin Media and haven't changed any settings.
  16. Some judicious weathering from @toboldlygo will hide that then.😉A photo in the pamphlet that comes with the models also shews a stone liveried 50886 taken in 1938.It has the post-36 style lettering.
  17. You've had me questioning my memory but a post on the relevant thread by @Islesy October '22 confirms. It was validated by SR guru Mike King which is good enough for me.
