  1. Pretty sure I was, as was, I think, Cloggydog of this parish. steve
  2. Thanks mainly to Saxokid's encouragement some positivity has now returned to the RFS project. I came across the resin flat looking for point levers in my stores and have made this mock-up using its dimensions. It will have plastic sheet sides of some sort and a suitable roof. There will be a central pillar (or wall maybe) that isn't on the mock-up as yet. steve
  3. You have just supplied me with an answer to how I can model the point control on Rectory Fam Sidings. Many thanks! steve
  4. Thanks for answering Chris. If it turns up, then fine If not, I'll put it down to experience. I'm past caring now. steve
  5. Kevin Ayers, now there's a blast from the past. Saw him at The Rainbow once. I even had a pair of blue suede shoes... steve
  6. The freight building has turned into a total waste of foamcore and Evergreen siding; basically it's cr*p. It's been abandoned and a totally new version needs to be planned. There has been a bit of ground cover and scenic detailing added but not enough to warrant any photos. A cafe for the garden centre, 'The Happy Carrot', is almost finished, which is something. A Scale Model Scenery office is also slowly coming together. To be honest, I'm near stalling on the layout entirely and am looking at doing another (!) boxfile to revive myself. steve
  7. Ian, I have been in furlough since the end of March. Small irritations in normal times assume greater importance when one's horizons are restricted to the house, the garden and the local shop. steve (who will now go back to being 'decent')
  8. Chris, Thanks for your response and I can understand your situation. I have contacted Bauer twice but am still awaiting a response to my second enquiry. steve
  9. And I’m still waiting for it! The next issue will be out first at this rate. steve (Not a happy bunny)
  10. Some nice-looking stuff coming out but most of it is far too modern for me. I like the look of the Genesis GP 7 but that price is well out of my range. The E&N boxcar is one for Chris Leigh! steve
  11. Hmmmm...that might be a better Baby Trainmaster than my Bachmann Spectrum version. steve
  12. My money's still on the Austin Cambridge. steve
  13. I was praising Kernow for their efficiency in picking and packing and the GPO for their speed in delivering it. steve
  14. Thanks everyone. I will just have too be patient... steve
  15. All the retailers I've tried, Hattons, Kernow, Gaugemaster, etc, are out of stock of Code 75 points. There must be a heck of a lot of layouts being built, or, more likely sadly, it's due to C*r*n* flippin' virus holding things up. I only want a small Y... steve
  16. Andy, Whilst what you say is obviously true, I was expressing my individual feelings about one particular aspect of the current situation. Nothing more. steve
  17. I’m really missing exhibitions as both an exhibitor and a punter... steve
  18. Pop Master on Radio 2, as I do most days... steve
  19. / pedant mode on And the plural of scarf is scarves... /pedant mode off steve
  20. You are a very brave and dedicated man... steve
  21. How about the dodgy exhaust too? My initial reaction to the image was that was a large gauge model, G 1 or even 2. It's a brilliant image and it would take some real nerve, not to mention skill, to do that to a Hornby one. steve
  22. Thanks neighbour Don't think I have ever seen it before. Would make an interesting addition to a layout. Cheers steve
  23. Just wondering why that plank is wedged into the stairs. steve
