Just want to say a massive thanks to everyone involved with putting on a fantastic 3 day show. Well worth a weekend spent staying in Glasgow. Great selection of layouts to spend time watching trains go by. The show is always an opportunity to catch up with people I probably only see once or twice a year so being there for a couple days meant there was no rush to get round the whole show in single day before having to head back down south. Also managed to visit the Riverside museum this year and can throughly recommend it! Looking forward to Model Rail Scotland 2024! Cheers. Bill.

Great news @Accurascale Fran that has just answered a load of questions lined up for when I see you at Glasgow on Saturday! Whilst the MK2c range was not a massive surprise, it is much welcomed (although my wallet won’t agree with you) The MK2c announcement leaves just 1 gap in the MK2 coaches which is the D&E’s. The MK2d’s would be perfect to go with the Deltics. At the moment all we have is the Airfix / Dapol / Hornby one which need lots of errors correcting before looking anything like a decent coach. No doubt you will announce these just as I finish my MK2d Scottish push-pull rake!! Cheers. Bill.

I did this tour a couple of times some years ago. Found it fascinating. Well recommended for anyone with an interest in industrial railways, heavy industry and or the steel making process. A grand day out!!

That 37 has got an odd exhaust port mounted on the nose. I wonder if Accurascale or Bachman have tooled that variation?!?

Am I right in thinking there was only 5 TSO and 1 FK MK2a coaches repainted into ScotRail livery? All of which would be disc brake fitted as they originally part of the class 27 push-pull rakes? Regards. Bill.

In the same boat as you, been waiting 4 years for the previously announced FK & TSO. I’m trying to be positive in thinking the FK and TSO must finally be imminent with the announcement of a TSO twin pack. On the bright side, I won’t have to renumber any of the TSO ‘s (as long as they don’t duplicate a running number in the twin pack with the single coach) the release of the twin pack will also make completing another rake of coaches easier and add some variety into the Aberdeen - Glasgow push pull set. I’ve used the Screwfix trestles to support 2’ wide baseboards. Yes, they are slightly wider than the boards but all helps with stability. As said above, sturdy, almost fold flat and height adjustable. Only downside to the trestles is they are noisy when being transported in the back of a car / van. Little tip is wrap the chains that the attach the pins to the frame in a piece of bubble wrap (or a sock, preferably a clean one!) hope that helps. Bill.
