I was going to take a trip to the bottom of the road to see the Jub & Black5. It was absolutely freezing and trying to snow / hailing so I listened to the cricket instead. Maybe next time.
Morning all, not much to report from this neck of the woods. Bright and cold though, which makes a nice change.
Hope Jock is doing better and enjoyed seeing the Gilera picture as much as I did, what a machine that was.
Sympathies to all suffering sciatica, mine is being unreasonable this weekend too, hence not much getting done.
Oops I seem to have missed some special day, but then SWMBO doesn't seem to have remembered either so mum's the word
I have a dilemma tomorrow due to Mr Duck's tip off too. Steam train or cricket? Cricket or steam train? Decisions, decisions. Ooh look! Shiny!
Um, where was I?
Oh yes, hat, coat, flat cap, whippet, jam butties, Tizer, ABC, gone
When my village was still a village, it had three pubs in less than 100 yards on the same road, two on opposite corners of the same side road. It's no longer a village, but miraculously the pubs are still there. In the same 100 yards there were 2 butchers, a bakers, 2 grocers and a bootmaker. Now it has a furniture shop ...
I blame that flippin' railway that came through in 1870 ...
Of course you can, they use them to build left-handed pianos.
Meanwhile ...
How is Sir doing with the wiring?
edit: how f$$*ing hard can it be to spell wririring?
Glad you said that. I did a quick guugle to find out what you are going to see and found out that Galatea is passing the bottom of our road on Sunday. I shall probably visit Lidl around lunchtime
My Dad was a universal miller by trade. He's been dead for nearly 20 years but I can hear him laughing at that. He'd tell you that he could work to +/- 1 thou with a shaper and a file.
Shocking maybe, but no surprise. Micros**t won't say what they are collecting or why. The built in use of 'cloud' storage and collection of wi-fi passwords to share with your contacts (which they also slurp) make the whole thing ridiculously insecure.
A laptop can use battery power to finish it's shutdown procedure. Oh for the days when you manually parked the disk heads and switched the computer off.
