  1. A Stanier 8F please Fran. You know it makes sense lol ! 😊😊
  2. I'm really not surprised in the least. The powers that be in UK law enforcement seem to think this is a victimless crime just because the majority of purchases are credit card based and are covered by Section 75. As you say, the losses these companies make is added on to the consumer in one way or another and the individual concerned will no doubt try his hand again as he's effectively got away with it !
  3. Will these have the same running numbers as the original release or different?
  4. Steam, diesel or electric Fran? An Accurascale Stanier 8F would do nicely thank you !
  5. June/early July 22 seems to be the general consensus from retailers. The modelling press are advertising the Manors as coming soon so hopefully not too far away.
  6. I wouldn't be surprised if we see something Stanier themed from Accurascale. The 8F has got to be low hanging fruit for them.
  7. Three by my reckoning and as you say poor boiler to running plate fitment. I've seen one in the flesh at Model Junction in Bury St Edmunds recently and it really did look magnificent. None of the aforementioned faults were apparent on the display model. Pot luck again as to whether or not you get a good one !
  8. Please see attached video from Hornby magazine:-https://youtu.be/djDXDa0Ddyw What's not so good with regard to the model shown in the video, is the paint chips on the front buffer beam and the rough finish on the back of the tender. This really shouldn't be happening on a model with an RRP in excess of £250 !
  9. Do any of you lovely ladies and gents have a spare Ash Pan Handel as fitted to the A1/A3? Usual reimbursement for costs etc. Many thanks.
  10. Even better Robin if the said loco came from the Hornby Dublo range.
  11. Clear as a bell, lovely pint by the look of it. Absolutely love Welsh ales and sometimes pop into the Mold Alehouse. This establishment is run by Gareth and his Mrs in Mold North Wales and is highly recommended!
  12. Or how about respecting the fact that others have the right to a different opinion than yourself? I'm of the view that RMweb members have posted genuine and constructive criticism in relation to the current format of the Engine Shed blog. The fact is, it really isn't as good as when Islesey produced it !
  13. Someone else is using the same tactic. They have a Hornby A3 FS which is quite obviously the old model, but refer to it as R3991, which is the new 2022 version with the metal running plate. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165445604603?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=qUt5b6dfTDS&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=cpI7ZCISRXe&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  14. A newly tooled version of the Duke to the same standard as the P2. I've got a feeling this will happen soon !
  15. "I'd like to hope that the Purple One is the swansong for the Rebuilt WC and that an upgraded one will be along shortly". Surely the airsmooth West Country/B of B class is more in need of a retool than the rebuilt version, which IMHO actually still holds up quite well?
  16. Add an updated airsmooth WC/ BoB class to that list.
  17. "Hornby Black 5s are not all that bad". Surely if Hornby thought the same they wouldn't be spending time, effort and a considerable amount of money on what has been described as the "Ultimate Black Five" ?
  18. I've not seen them in the flesh as yet, however Kernow models have some good stock photographs of the new A1 and A3s on their website.
  19. Did you by any chance receive a response from Hornby on the crest issue?
  20. Oxford Rail are to provide updates in May apparently which should reveal all. Bearing in mind we're still waiting for the other previously announced J class and the breakdown cranes, time will tell whether these are simply incorporated into the mainstream Hornby range as happened to the building range models.
  21. Depends who you ask I'm afraid. Some outlets say anytime between April-June this year, others however quote Q3 of 2022. Will Dapol beat Accurascale bringing their Manor to the market I wonder? Looking forward to receiving both!
  22. Sorry but Trading Standards/Police need to be aware of people like Mr Cann, who knowingly fraudulently obtain money and don't deliver the goods. Criminal proceedings for offences under the Fraud Act/Theft act are appropriate in this case. In addition to Section 75 protection, banks and credit card companies can and frequently use chargeback for purchases made on cards over £10 and under £100 in value.
