    Not to mention the boiler angle slant on the Dapol model, which is so obviously incorrect/non prototypical That is the reason why I cancelled my pre-order. The Accurascale model will do fine for me and I'm confident it will be a stunner !

    Meanwhile, you can still buy many of these items direct from Hornby. Unbelievable and extremely poor PR from Margate.

    Hornby may live to regret how they currently treat their customers/approved dealers with regard to pre-orders. This is especially so at a time when people have less disposable income to spend on luxuries and the like, due to the current cost of living hikes. Not a good experience, especially when you look at the likes of Accurascale, who in total contrast, seem to value their customers/approved outlets.

    I'm really not surprised in the least. The powers that be in UK law enforcement seem to think this is a victimless crime just because the majority of purchases are credit card based and are covered by Section 75. As you say, the losses these companies make is added on to the consumer in one way or another and the individual concerned will no doubt try his hand again as he's effectively got away with it !

    June/early July 22 seems to be the general consensus from retailers. The modelling press are advertising the Manors as coming soon so hopefully not too far away.

    I wouldn't be surprised if we see something Stanier themed from Accurascale. The 8F has got to be low hanging fruit for them.

    Three by my reckoning and as you say poor boiler to running plate fitment. I've seen one in the flesh at Model Junction in Bury St Edmunds recently and it really did look magnificent. None of the aforementioned faults were apparent on the display model. Pot luck again as to whether or not you get a good one !

    Please see attached video from Hornby magazine:-https://youtu.be/djDXDa0Ddyw What's not so good with regard to the model shown in the video, is the paint chips on the front buffer beam and the rough finish on the back of the tender. This really shouldn't be happening on a model with an RRP in excess of £250 !

    Clear as a bell, lovely pint by the look of it. Absolutely love Welsh ales and sometimes pop into the Mold Alehouse. This establishment is run by Gareth and his Mrs in Mold North Wales and is highly recommended!

    Or how about respecting the fact that others have the right to a different opinion than yourself? I'm of the view that RMweb members have posted genuine and constructive criticism in relation to the current format of the Engine Shed blog. The fact is, it really isn't as good as when Islesey produced it !

    Someone else is using the same tactic.
