  1. Oh yes introduce those costs in to a business rather than an overseas customer paying the true costs and see what happens... oh wait...
  2. "CAKE" "CAKE" Did someone mention "Cake" thIs is the first of many reminders that the "upselling, arm twisting, I mean purveyors of hearty snacks and drinks team" welcome donations on the day of cakes of any style, size, chocolate, non chocolate or even vegetable... (yes vegetable based cake counts as one of your five a day...) to ensure everybody who attends goes home properly full of cake (as well of course admiration of all the other exhibits that make up this cake event).
  3. The Rails wagons are the Diagram 1358 end door versions.
  4. Not so much TT:120 as just slightly further away...
  5. Hardly a thickening plot, the Warley club, are organising a different and for them more achievable / manageable show, just as many model railway clubs have done.
  6. Internal Panelling: Cream above waist and Red below Seats: Reddish Brown with cream figuring, varnished wood seat ends end Curtains: Blue (note: no curtains in set 363) Floor: varnished wood
  7. Indeed and exactly what I shall (and often) do!
  8. Yes the mainland E1s gained SR Bulleid black starting with 2694 from 27th January 1940 onwards.
  9. Great British Railways (GBR) is not to happen anymore It's now the Integrated Rail Body a version of Network Rail in control. The draft rail reform bill is here... https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/draft-rail-reform-bill
  10. Workbench Witterings #24 Taking centre stage, the Westhill Road provender store, more details here https://southern-railway.com/2024/02/18/workbench-witterings-24-taking-centre-stage-the-westhill-road-provender-store/
  11. For the vented supported walls on the Hawkhurst provider store I used Slaters Femish Bond embossed plastciard glued back to back and punched out the half bricks with a punch made using an old square needle file.
  12. Once again it needs repeating that this is the first of at least four announcements to be made by Bachmann this year!
  13. You have asked and been corrected about this before within the Hattons 14xx thread. The 14xx tooling was/is fully owned by Hattons and nothing to do with any demise of DJM. It is up to Hattons what they may or might have already done with it.
  14. This Months picture... https://southern-railway.com/2024/02/01/picture-of-the-month-february-2024/
  15. Glad the klaxon is still working ;) Useful to narrow down the possibilities tho...
  16. Go on, Go on, tell us, which member of the Accurascale team is he?
  17. Yes, I can confirm that the Chimney cap was removed from 93 when running on NR metals (and to get it into the shed at Didcot!) as it was outside the current NR loading gauge.
  18. Whatever Kevin looks like he is probably stamping his foot complaining "That is so unfair" that he has not received the Steam Railmotor model that has not been announced yet...
  19. Keeping things in context, as I said there have only been a very small number of models with any reported issues, which are still being investigated, when compared with the numbers sold.
  20. Rick, Ping me a PM and I will see what I can do to help sort the issue.
  21. Because the very small number of models that have been actually reported as so affected, is being investigated as the potential cause being as what could be described by some as 'minor manufacturing issue'.
  22. Yes the Booster wheelbase is very long compared to most Co-Cos and also as you state the bogies are mounted closer together than most too, so the need to take R2 curves has been a challenge. Thankfully the small number of actual reported "minor manufacturing issues" as a percentage of the number of models produced is very low.
