The cynic in me was wondering who else is working on the class 110 for Hornby to drag out that old tooling and also why no class 142's following the realtrack announcement but to be fair as well they have generated a bit of interest due to their withdrawal and retirement to some other uses.

Rails are not a Hornby stockist and Hattons if I recall correctly are tier 3 so get poor pickings from what is left.

Post on Heljan facebook page to state the class 86/4's have arrived in Denmark! Could be those and my APT in the same week- expensive- yes- excited- very!!!

Its good news that Hornby have commissioned a second run of the APT it shows it has sold and I was considering a second set but then I thought I can't recall seeing a picture of 2 sets side by side (in traffic not parked up) and a quick google search hasn't helped. Did BR run more than 1 set at once?

It does remind me of the time when Dave Jones announced he was going to copyright loco's and this would prevent duplication. I think this was around the time accurascale announced their 92. I was just thinking why Hornby hadn't adopted the same approach to the thomas the tank engine range that they seem to be adopting here but that seems to have been answered above thanks.

Just spoke with Hornby as I wanted to update my credit card details (have to wait for an email link when the items are in stock so cannot do now unfortunately). However they told me 5 car set due this week, 7 car set due week of 17th Jan although I would think usual caveats apply.

I wish they would make their mind up based on the earlier post that they were not due until March I spent all my money on wine, women and song over the weekend!

I am getting excited that tomorrow is January- the model is expected in January therefore could be in my sweaty mitts in the next 31 days!

The opposite for me glad I didn’t buy (but got the chocolate one) I think the yellow cab doors killed it for me but we all have our own opinions.

Just a thought but could we see either a retooled or warmed over class 142 as a response to the forthcoming realtrack model.

I do wonder if he will come to regret that line at some point someone will throw it back at him at a show when their prized model is faulty. I do feel sorry for him as the face of Hornby he must take some flak sometimes..

According to the tv show most of the income appears to come from brand new releases so it’s in Hornby’s interests to keep churning out new stuff so we should be seeing stuff not done by Hornby before (however I didn’t say not done by anyone else before)!
