Would agree it would probably not be totally cost free but probably cheaper than a marketing campaign on TV.

Also just had the email, I wonder if in this series they will fix the issues with the models in the first series? There were so many own goals and soundbites in the first series which were thrown back at Hornby when issues became apparent I am surprised they agreed to another series. Although I imagine the huge amount of free exposure probably helped sway any decision!

I suspect there will be 3 days of backlog at the post office to start with, could have been late to the printers to start with but there could be a load of different reasons for that.

Sorry if I sound a bit thick (but that’s nothing new) is this money to maintain the status quo at Hornby, or allow more investment in new models/ facilities (as stated on the Hornby program a lot of money is raised when releasing brand new models) or is it to safeguard the company against the financial storm looming. Or even a mixture of all three. Would we know if the other manufacturers/ companies are doing the same or not so is it even that unusual to be putting this into place? Cheers mark

Every time I reduce my pre orders something pops up to buy! Was lucky to get an order in hopefully those disappointed will be successful later on from cancelled orders.

So eon-next We were with eon last year until we moved house in July, moved house and energy supplier thought nothing more. Last week got a bill from a debt agency chasing a £50 debt for eon next for a week in August last year (we had moved by then), the bill was in my wife’s name but the energy bills had always been in my name as they came out of my account. Only received letter as we had mail divert and no other correspondence had been received until this point. Got on the email to eon (as you cannot get any answer on the phone) and emailed a copy of the land registry entry (although this does not prove we were not resident only the house changed hands) and a request to open a complaint. Anyway upshot is that they have backed down and offered £100 compensation which we will probably spend on our next energy bill ironically. Sorted in the end but a bit of hassle I didn’t need.

These 'few more items' -are they announced items or not? Just opened my pack of HAA's all I can say is wow -I grew up alongside the fiddlers ferry coal line and saw the HAA's almost daily, while not claiming to be an expert these models really capture the look to me great job all round! I do like the way Bachmann (and to be fair others) who have adopted and moved away from the one announcement a year cycle are now announcing new models as it helps keep things fresh and exciting although there may not be anything of interest to purchase in this round there is bound to be in the next and not too long to wait.

Yes they priced them amazingly close to the accurascale models and incidentally I received an email to say the accurascale ones are due next week along with some detail pictures which look like the Hornby model could be blown out of the water!

Why do they need to be here by Saturday- are you able to wait a week or so then compare the 2 either in a model shop or via pics on here? Am really looking forward to my accurascale ones. It is really coincidental that they have almost arrived at the same time.

Don't think I have seen it mentioned but the next release of the 91 has been put back to spring 2023 (battle of britain livery etc).

So 7 runs planned at least and I believe a production run can span weeks and even months depending on the model complexity so is it possible you could just have a factory churning out class 37’s for years? Just like a mini Vulcan foundary.

I have no certificate or anything but I do have the Lima class 20 which used to run around the layout in beatties shop window in Blackpool, bought for a tenner in the shop- no box, broken buffers and drive shaft all of which have been replaced (although buffers wrong colour! For this little piece of history I would listen to offers over £200!! Anyway good luck Bachmann with this venture I look forward to the chain opening near me soon.

I spoke with Dapol at the recent O gauge show and they told me a batch of 08’s was due soon so perhaps these are in with them?
