  1. Looks like the inspection saloons, class 08 and pipe wagons have landed, available at Hereford models currently.
  2. I realise this would be difficult with so many different types throughout the country and no standardisation but what about trams? Also probably not a huge seller to make them profitable- just talked myself out of it too-!
  3. When talking about what could go wrong the graphic always shows the item falling off the ramp and onto its side. Would this actually happen? I don’t think the momentum generated by the winch would be enough to do this? Any knowledgable people on here with any ideas? thanks
  4. Thanks for the update, one of the traders at the recent Leyland show said they were not due till Spring next year at the earliest, I didn't think that was correct but he felt his source was correct.
  5. I thought my 37429 regional was in the first batch too. Could be wrong though!
  6. Have noted that the class 47 (old tooling) was used for retailers special releases, then the class 37 (old tooling) was and then more recently the class 45 tooling has been used for the same purpose. Do you think this time next year we could be looking at a brand new tooled 44/45/46 family from Bachmann?

    On Cats

My elderly aunt was bought a cat for company and when she goes for a walk around the block with her Zimmer frame the cat always goes too!
  8. I don’t think accurascale need anymore of my money via a collectors club, they have enough through their model range!
  9. Given accurascales quest for accuracy how about a go at the class 52 western, while the Dapol version is good I am sure an accurascale version will be another step up.
  10. Seems to be more collectors club items being released over the year than previously will be interested to see if the grain flow wagons turn up as collectors club models having a huge amount of separate detail like the wagons announced today.
  11. Heljan class 86 in Anglia here https://www.thejunctionbox.net/items-for-sale/Heljan-86021-dcc-fitted/
  12. Would it be unkind to suggest its not stopped Hornby having a go before!
  13. I think they can only be judged going forward and actions speak louder than words. Will see what happens in 2023!
  14. I cannot speak for accurascale but I would have thought it prudent to see what Bachmann announce next week (as they should be manufactured and on their way) before accurascale announce batch 2 making any name/ number changes as required.
  15. I am sure you are right and they did 905/6 but I am not certain the roof was right or that the roof mods were not done for 901-4 ,or I could be completely wrong!
  16. Been away for the weekend so just catching up- I did wonder if this was on the cards when they announced the new 47 but there should be enough variations for both companies (accurascale and Bachmann) to prosper. I watched some of the launch video but didn't hear if Bachmann mentioned how much they had spent on tooling just for curiosity. On the class 47 the did say they had sunk over £1000000, to produce the definitive 47 and it looks as though they have spent a similar amount here possibly. In the past I would have bought one just because its new but will wait and see who produces 37407 'blackpool tower' first. I wish both companies success with what look like cracking models of a much loved prototype. Cheers Mark
  17. I have a few Hornby pre- orders dotted across a few shops -if they are cancelled I think I just won't bother- am getting to the point of being saturated with stock anyway and have most of what I want. Mark
  18. I can’t answer for accurascale but read it as shipping from China.
  19. Although not in a nursing home my wife is a real 'matron' in the qualified nurse sense! Will let you know if matron nagging mode is worse than wife nagging mode!
  20. Was devastated when we had our last cat put to sleep and cried when she slept on my knee the night before knowing it would be the last time but it was the right thing to do for her. She was the best pet I have ever owned and we have had 5 cats over the years. We have a new rescue cat now and while she fills some of that gap left she cannot fill it completely. I was more upset over that cat than I was over some family members! So no- not silly/ stupid or soppy -shows you have a heart and you care Mark
  21. I bought my GT3 new from them, the palbricks and fell are preorder.
  22. Well the GT3, palbrick, fell and consett wagon are either available or no longer available (but still searchable) on the rails site suggesting they have all been available through them. I guess things change, I imagine KR models range could meet a wider audience through rails than through their own website. I search for rails quite often but never KR models site and haven’t visited it for at least a year I guess as an example of a (below) average modeller.
  23. I believe most of KR models range has ended up being available via Rails of sheffield (and probably elsewhere) so if unsure may be wise to wait and see if available from them who ask for a deposit rather than the full amount -at least then you have a bit more protection. My GT3 came from Rails and the fell and palbricks are also available.
  24. Yes it proper throbs and occasionally goes ‘parp’!
