  1. I thought the issue with the model is that it’s being advertised as the GTR loco thus glamorising the event and making money from the story with the sad back drop that someone died as a result of their injuries. If they had just announced we are doing D2xx in whatever livery I wouldn’t have known it was the loco involved in that event.
  2. Spoke with Accurascale and was told the 92's are being flown in for arrival Monday assuming all goes well. Saw the models in the case, very excited now!
  3. Luckily have seen this layout before as struggled to get a good look while it was at Warley yesterday -always a bit of a crowd when I walked past- sign of a good layout!
  4. I did speak with both accurascale and KR models at Warley, accurascale said this new announcement does not affect their plans going forward a very diplomatic response. They are either not doing a 40 or are doing a 40 and don’t care if KR are. KR models basically said that the Bachmann model is inaccurate and they have already scanned the prototype. I don’t have enough confidence to preorder without seeing it further down the development path.
  5. A couple of weeks or so ago Andy Y put up a status that he would be mostly holding his tongue, I wondered if it might be something to do with the Hornby 2023 launch to the press so with this now, could the experience be the Hornby 2023 range launch?
  6. Wonder if anything new will pop up in the efe range.
  7. Great video particularly liked Sam getting involved at the end and demonstrating he does have a sense of humour and can take a joke. I wonder who the lines ‘we are running a lion model as thunderbolt because we can’ and ‘it’s better than having the model turning up damaged and the packaging pristine’ ,were aimed at? cheers mark
  8. Picture on the kernow site suggests the buffers are now at the correct end.
  9. I asked about the 92 in the class 37 thread when we were told of the delay -yes, they will be arriving first, and I think Fran mentioned an update in the next week (or so) if I recall correctly.
  10. While not for me (too much OO), I wish Hornby good luck with the venture. Simon did explicitly say at the start they are not abandoning OO gauge although to be honest I don't get much Hornby these days. Although having said all that if they do a decent TT gauge overhead electric I may have to get one for the display case (and then probably a bit of track etc). Mark
  11. I think that is the same set we bought for my dad for his birthday back in 2014/5 to keep him occupied after my mum passed away, it was from argos and I think the M part of the R number is used for sets made for the catalogue chains although I am sure someone will know this for sure. They are just shifting old stock in the time-honored way. The set back then was £99 via argos but that's inflation for you!
  12. Welcome to the forum Ben, nice to know someone is willing to listen to us, I realise you can't give anything new away but is there an eta on the class 59? thanks mark
  13. Dapol Dave is definitely not active anymore (see DJM threads) and I believe Dapol do not take part on the forum but do (or did) have their own Dapol digest forum so any wish list may be better on there to get their attention.
  14. Any update on the sound decoders which I think were sat on the dock/ in customs? thanks mark
  15. So the next samples arrive in the next 10 days then to check them over before shipping so are we looking at just about pre Christmas delivery? mark
  16. Just seen on facebook -interview with Hornby magazine and Ben Jones with what looks like a new tooling class 20 in the foreground (obviously haven't watched the video just saw the still and jumped to wild conclusions)!

    Class 59 in 00

I think this was also reported in the last month or so but they do not appear in the latest mail shot from Rails which lists the forthcoming O, OO and N releases from Dapol. I think you may be right about the titanic!

  20. The 90 and 158 (which are the only models I own out of your list) are still excellent models therefore my point still stands, great addition to the accurascale team and I look forward to what’s coming.
  21. Thanks thought so, don’t have the new Bachmann 37 but do have the 47, nice bit of kit, great addition to the team.
  22. Is it Steve who usually pops up in the announcement videos to demonstrate the newly tooled 47, 37 at Bachmann?
  23. It was the pick-up design on the first one, way back in the thread was the remedy to modify the pickups (involved soldering new ones) and improving the running.
