    Very strange HST on the Cheltenham Spa service this evening, seems to have 2 TGS...

      Until recently, one of the Summer Saturday London-Newquay turns was diagrammed for a 2+9 HST with two TGS, partly for extra surfboard capacity!

    Sit down to line my County tender only to realise HMRS transfers only include one Hawksworth tender (and I used it on a Hall)

      I just wish there were era specific packs of the HMRS transfers, so frustrating to have a bunch of leftover pre war lining and nothing left post war. Still at least they can be chopped up as boiler lining so more useful than the loco branding transfers

    Southern actually came through perfectly, and the flight (BA) is on time. Just time left to get a beer in the lounge before boarding

    Test the star after rewiring and it doesn't work. Now the decoder refuses to respond (but worked fine on decoder pro on Tuesday...)

      Kind of makes you wish you'd stuck with P4, eh? Then at least you'd know any mistakes were your own, not someone else's!

    Now I find a star which has not been wired properly (pin one wired to wheels not motor). That's 50% of the Hornby locos purchased in the last 12 months now showing wiring problems...

    An evenings searching and the county wheels are still mia, no doubt to finally show themselves when I buy replacements. For now a set of P4 45xx wheels are in use as a substitute for mid build testing

      I can beat that, I have a Finnney Duke kit somewhere between the UK and australia. 5 weeks so far. was sent insured, but cannot claim for 90 days.

      Had me (and John J) a little gob smacked. Almost as much as discovering that tracking apparently stops when it is handed to overseas shipping, but Australia Post do not track either!

    An evenings searching and they still can't be found. Think I will use a set of P4 4500 class wheels in the spares box for testing, and fit the OO county wheels when I absolutely have to.

    Went to a gwr 1st class food focus group tonight, in typical first group fashion they forgot to bring the new food to taste... still, it paid for a Star!

    BA the least you can do if you are delaying my plane home is make sure it's over the 3hour mark to fund some more locos. A 2h delay getting me in at midnight is no use to anyone!

    Power cut 2 minutes before the end of a kit built finney or mallard bulldog on eBay looses the internet (in a mobile black spot). Not happy!

      I think I have an old 50w iron in a box somewhere which will do for now. It seems the power box works so I may get away with just a new iron attachment
