Accidently ordered a Dapol Gronk. Oops.
-
Found a house we like. All we need to do now is find the money...
-
Discussing paint colour scheme options for when we move. Apparently rail blue and warning panel yellow are not an option for the living room.
-
Trying to figure out whether "putting four legs back on a recycled baseboard and staring at it blankly" counts as modelling or not.
-
Finally found those N gauge Linie-8 trams I mislaid a year ago. Now I can start looking at a track plan...
-
I have about 10 potential projects I am ready to start and can't decide which one to do first hence achieving nothing on any of them.
-
Just dismantled an old 3ft x 18" board and salvaged 55 screws. A bit overkill perhaps?
-
Oh dear... that moment when you google a question and the first answer that comes up is an RMWeb thread you started 7 years ago asking the very same question...
-
My local model shop has a range of 1:400 modern planes and airport accessories in stock so why do I feel the urge to build a T scale "Gatwick" which is on my doorstep? I can't model a 6th scale...
-
If anyone sees a lost Lenz handset wandering around their garden can they let me know please? Mine appears to have escaped.
-
How can I lose a DCC handset? Shouldn't it be plugged into the other end of the cable that's plugged into the "brains"?
-
Interesting, just tried calling Hornby to get a recorded message saying their phone lines are closed until 11.30am. Curious.
-
Oh the joys of an "Adams Radial" ... so do I attempt to model Lyme Regis inaccurately, or a "might have been" layout which people will pick apart because it's not Lyme Regis... deep sigh.
-
Wondering if the R4135 SR olive green 4 wheel coaches are based on a real model or not... they're rather cute.
-
I have successfully changed a circular fluorescent tube for the first time.

A hole has opened up under the railway line in South London. Network Rail are looking into it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-36826936

Wishing I hadn't decided to model the Belmond British Pullman with the Clan Line that's being delivered to me today ... 13 coaches at £50 a pop ...
-
I've put forward a shopping list for my forthcoming birthday. I just won't mention the triple pack of carriages that Ebay had cheap (all named in the current rake) and the one the local model shop has just put by for me, and the two coaches for conversion into generator and baggage car that Hattons are posting me tomorrow... oops...
-
Placed a Hattons order 3 days ago, it hasn't even been despatched yet. Will be asking them why later...
-
Not impressed with Hatton's "Order History" page. My wife has just found out since January 2014 I've spent nearly £1400 with them...
-
We haven't even started thinking about where we want to move to and in what area yet, but I've already started designing a garden railway for it.

To add to it, my wife is assessing places for suitability for cats that we don't have yet. Never mind cost, parking, commuting, council tax band, development potential, what the neighbours are like and all the other irrelevant things you ought to consider when making one of the biggest expenditures you're ever likely to make.
-
Curious how I put in a bid for £67 on an item with 15 seconds to go yet the winning bid was £66 and I didn't get it.
-
Not sure what to do with the half a dozen or so layout ideas buzzing round my head that all fit a 'repurposed' model board. Bah.

Random facebook message from a reporter from a Chinese national newspaper wanting my opinion on something I posted about a week ago on facebook about buying medicine over the interent - pile cream, as it happens (and the dangers of self-medication and buying medicine via the internet) ... strange world.

Just off out with my camera to shoot a scotsman. I hope the weather bucks up a bit.
