  1. Care is still quick even if he's slowed a bit and he has been on form this season. I see it as a positive that he is the regular half back partner of Smith. Van Poortvleit has demonstrated great maturity but there is still a risk in a crunch match that the pressure might get to him. I like the idea, like you, of bringing him on later in the match. I'm hoping that, even without Itoje, the England pack will give Australia a hard time and provide some quick ball. In the loose we have a mobile set of forwards and although I'm a fan of Underhill I am not concerned about Ludlum replacing him given the way he has performed so far. Mind you he's up against one of the best so it would be good to see Genge targetting that channel again. :o)

  3. OK, I have to ask. I have no idea what Floaters vinegar is. Can someone explain please? Worse than that, the word floater and food doesn't represent anything appetising to me either. In fact, quite the opposite.
  4. I'd recommend Blinds2Go. Their blinds are less expensive, fit perfectly, take minutes to fit and perform well. I have five blackout blinds which have been in use for a few years now. Note: Slightly confusingly, their website has blinds to fit other manufacturer's windows listed under blinds for Velux.
  5. I can't deny it is something I have considered but this is just one item on a lengthy to do list. Now if RapidoAndy was to offer me a reasonable part-exchange though ... 🤔
  6. All 719 of them, you'd think. I thought I'd check who the current members of the Privy Council are and was amazed to find there are so many. The list includes some people who I thought were dead! Plus there are several Scottish politicians who would like to see the union broken up which is an interesting conundrum for her madge.
  7. Perhaps Rees-Mogg could have a word. That's where he keeps his money after all, so he may have some influence.
  8. I don't know why anyone would be concerned. We already have a Deputy Leader ready to step in. Ah, wait ...
  9. I understand the RMT have suggested bringing in agency workers whilst there is no one to run the government.
  10. If Johnson remains for a little longer he will have been PM for longer than May. Or is that just too petty even for him?
  11. Thank you for clarifying that, Andy. It is good to know that you've involved Mike this time. It is a pity he wasn't listened to by Rails and/or Rapido the first time around but that is in the past now and I am resigned to having to line the coach myself eventually as well as correcting the other painting flaws.
  12. I agree but I genuinely laughed out loud when he referred to the revised cabinet as the "light weight brigade" and it was made even funnier by the obvious outrage of the UnCultured Secretary.
  13. One of the models in the first release was of the post war car which is the condition the dynamometer car was restored to. Another was of the pre war version which ought to have been lined. This was pointed out at the time by @MikeTrice and others. The term "correct lining" was a direct quotation from Rapido's post, who seem belatedly to have come around to accepting that the first run was incorrect.
  14. A quick search suggests: Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre Mere Way Ruddington Nottingham NG11 6NX
  15. The Vikings raided and settled the coast of Wales too you know, from Pembrokeshire and along the south coast. Anyway, good luck with day 2.
  16. The next layout will probably be something humorous involving the word får then. Having also done a brief search for "viking sheep" I was spoilt for choice and it opens up a whole new range of funny images for our host to plunder.
  17. You can say that again. Great work (as usual).
  18. Looks like that roof tiling has finally tipped Jeff over the edge folks! 🤪
  19. Only the X-type (Mondeo underpinnings) moved to Halewood. Eventually, new owners Tata invested in the expansion of the old Castle Bromwich paint shop and moved production of a number of models there. These days Jaguars are also made in Brazil, China and Austria which I suppose is much like any other large motor manufacturer with production spread around the world.
  20. It isn't really that unusual. Look at Airbus for example. In the case of Jaguar it is/was nothing more than history and the lack of space and money for a plant large enough to do everything at the same location. Much cheaper to buy an existing factory. The engines were assembled at another plant at Radford in Coventry before being united with the painted bodies, interiors etc. at Browns Lane. Jaguar also built an additional plant in the late 1980s at Whitley in Coventry to house the design departments and their data centre. After your time as a student naked Jaguars became a less common sight because Jaguar bought new lorries which kept the bodies covered during the journeys.
  21. An easily excited presenter there. It's a bit of fun but also a bit boring and slow. It is a long time since we went but, assuming it hasn't been spoilt by developers since the late 1980s, Madeira's a lovely island especially walking the levadas.
  22. It's nice to see the station building again, Jeff. I'm looking forward to your lesson on splitting slates from a solid block of Das before finishing the roof. P.S. I couldn't resist giving you a like. 😈
  23. Sadly, that is no longer the case and the sturdy, recyclable envelope offering a degree of protection against creasing has been replaced with a plastic bag.
