  1. Thanks 81C M.I.B, but they still would have had branding through to the forties I should imagine. Wouldn't they?? I am making an assumption because of the fact that coaches were not all painted on the same day or even year for that matter, but am quite happy to be corrected as I DO NOT have a clue! Khris
  2. Thanks Chris, I find that stuff rather interesting. Also helps to show what most would say couldn't happen....could! My answer was to reply to the original question. While I am trying to model 1939, I managed to find some WTT from the early 40's on Michael Clemens site where the Auto trains were actually listed as such, given he was asking for the 1930's I tried to answer with what I had found. Khris
  3. And I thought 10 was bad enough! Glad it is you old boy, because I almost feel bogged down Khris
  4. FWIW, If looking for auto trailer timings , I found them listed (identified) in the WTT as opposed to just the passenger TT. Khris
  5. Daytime running lights are a very practical thing whether you yourself like it or not. Here in australia, the popularity of the dark car is incredible, especially in silvers and greys and if you get a dull day they can merge into the road and NOT be seen. With LEDS being quite bright, having them as running lights is a great aid to seeing a car or NOT seeing a car. While you have shorter distances to travel as such, over here, if you are driving hundreds of kms/day as over here it does help to insure you are more likely to see oncoming cars!
  6. Hi, I have probably phrased the heading wrong But! What I am trying to find out is: 1)Did all toads have depot names on them? 2)If so, what depots would have serviced trains going through Oxford and/or Princes Risborough areas? Given I have not grown up with any knowledge of the UK, I have no idea what freight centres there were, and what serviced what areas! Khris
  7. Bunnings are the more expensive version....aren't they? Lets face it the reality is that you need to know your prices BEFORE you go in there! Khris
  8. I understand your wants BUT, the suggestion to do it in parts does make sense, at least until you can master the process. The guy in China NOT ONLY has a professional machine, but also experience, that comes from a lot of printing. To me, the current situation seems to be costing you a lot of money in failed prints and NO gain in the learning process! Given it seems you would like to make some money out of this, or at least break even, it would appear to me that the best way forward for you is to split it into parts and start to make some monies to at least help pay your way for the models you want. That way you get the experience (and I would not be surprised at some failures even them) while not on a complete loss making learning curve. As for being inept with superglue....we are all inept at times but again with experience using it we master it. In my sixties I am still learning about mastering it! You will get there, and I for one, look forward to your success! Khris
  9. Expensive exercise for freight just to find out! Khris Aust

  16. Is there a problem saying Christmas on this forum now?? Khris
  17. Andy, Why not just have a thread for people selling their own stuff? Just the ad and people contact seller directly! Khris
  18. Some pics I have seen would make that last statement debatable. khris
  19. Though at the end of the day...it falls on Dave Jones. He is the one that accepts are rejects the factory's product, as HE is their customer! Khris
