  1. Just SUPERB modelling there ADK! Khris
  2. Yeah, Inconsiderate people dying will do that. Also for those interested there is quite a bit on Youtube about retrofitting those CD motors to loco's. Khris
  3. Hi Guys, This is completely out of left field but may be usefull. I have just received an email from: Cousins Material House Limited <noreply@cousinsuk.com> In th email is an ad for Magic Rhodium. Someone with more knowledge than me, may be able to help whether this could be useful for the bearing part of the axle. Hope this may be of some help. Khris
  4. This one: http://www.modelexpress.biz/ Or the one in Vancouver: http://www.modelexpressvancouver.com/ Khris
  5. Bill, While it may be a drop in the ocean, your attitude to this surprises me, and I can assure very unlikely I would buy a product from you, whether I was desperate for it or not! PD's only grasp is trying to get the mods to end this thread. I am hoping like hell it is affecting what little business he has! Your second comment I am struggling with.......He has been going to shows and selling, THAT would indicate to me that there is money still left that he can refund to people INSTEAD of living off their monies. If he is that hard up for money he should go get a job or the dole/unemployment benefits! Anyone in business has a responsibility to ensure that their "customers" receive the product/service they pay for. If they cannot do so they also have a responsibility to ensure that they are NOT taking money illegally ie: from a paywall like this and NOT supplying/producing product. Either way I would say his name is mud now, ALL of his own doing! Khris
  6. The issue of the Merchant fees, if he was honestly concerned he would have ensured that the Site was fixed to NOT take other peoples monies quick smart. To bring the issues of merchants fees into it, fall right into his own lap for NOT doing anything to rectify his site in the first instance!
  7. You do have to wonder when a new member who seems to only post on this thread, and continually says the mods should shut the thread down, doesn't have a vested interest in the out come. Otherwise, said member must have read the ENTIRE thread with their eyes shut! Khris
  8. David, I cannot help but wonder if you are Paul Dunn in another guise! Even for the very short time you have been here you seem so quick to tell everyone here they don't have a clue, and yet you still fail to understand the issue at heart. The site still takes money with no goods being received. Apart from refunding all the monies that have been taken , where goods have NOT been sent, the VERY LEAST that is expected is that the site has the cart taken away/made inoperable so that others who unwittingly get directed to the site NOT through the front page DO NOT GET FLEECED! Now, if you are half a normal person you would have to agree that, that is not a big ask, and people will be happy! Khris
  9. And in the earlier days I would have agreed with you, but this has dragged on that long now with NO effort of Dunns part to even rectify or withdraw his site that, that excuse is well and truly down the drain. He knows what he is doing and continues to do it without any effort on his part to rectify the issue by even haveing his website undated....that is now fraud at the very least! Khris
  10. Bill, I haven't read past this statement which leaves me in awe! Is it for YOU to decide whether anyone losing any money to this man to be regarded as a small amount! What may be a small amount to you can be another's monthly modelling monies, and as such a large amount. How about trying to consider this from everyone's perspective. This is NOT a one or two off incident, it is theft and fraud, no matter what way you cut the cake! Khris
  11. Personally I have found the amount available drops off but prices still stay much the same. Well that is my experience anyway. Khris
  12. As Chris P Bacon said felt or rubber stoppers on the underside, but also I have a rail at the front on the underside to stop the board slipping forward. It also means you have a clear front edge, if for any reason you are working on a model where it overhangs. Khris
  13. Sorry this is not on topic as such BUT, there is an article about these motors and Feedback controllers and the testing to date had shown that they did NOT do any damage to them. Now you all want to know where and I cannot remember! It may have been on the Gaugemaster site or even the DCC concepts site BUT in all honesty I do not remember. When I bought my DJM 14xx I also bought a Non Feedback Controller for fear of damaging the loco. Hope this is of interest. Khris
  14. Thanks for the replies Rich and Barry? Once all filed down and set in position I think I will secue to the chassis and tack to the rails. Khris
  15. PLEASE don't tell me that!!!! There is a bracket that fits top and bottom of slide bars to the main chassis. Supposed to be secured in front of the front wheel. It will give stability to the slide bars during use. I will now go and test fit to see if mine are to short......mutter, mutter mutter. Khris
  16. I am building a Comet GWR Hall chassis. I am puzzled with one part at the moment. Comet say that it is best to make the cylinder removable, which I have done. The problem is the brackets for the crosshead slides. The instructions say that the bracket is secured in front of the front wheels and to the slides. Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't it now mean the cylinders are secured by default or am I missing something here? Any advice would be appreciated from those who have built these please. Khris
  17. I contacted them and it seems that you need to buy from them first before they will put you on the list. Figured it wasn't worth the effort and will stick to my regular dealers in the UK. Khris
  18. This is NOT cricket Lofty! I do hope it is only temporarily suspended at worst! Khris
  19. Me thinks time to have words with your architect! Khris
  20. Worldpay have a faceache page....seems that is their standard answer to refer you back to the dealer. Had a dig at them publicly anyway, not that I expect them to respond! Maybe anyone who has had an issue with Mr Dunn should all fire off on one of the posts and they may have a rethink if enough people do it! khris
  21. Bill< There is NO excuse for him NOT to have the money to refund. He accepts the money and order...he either supplies goods or refunds. There is NO inbetween nor excuses! Khris
  22. Biggest issue at the moment is those new to the scene go to the front of his website and get caught. By his own actions he is showing contempt for anyone who goes to his site and the powers that be over there need to get off their rear ends and do something about it! Andy Y from here has tried to help and yet even that was turned down, so one can only assume he is quite happy to screw everyone he can for what little he can get out of then and to hell with them! He needs to be held to account! Khris
