‘O’ dear, I seem to have ordered something totally out of scale...

Could someone hurry up and buy the Bristolian please, at 120£ for 3 colletts and a King I am mighty tempted, it’s only the fact I already have 1 king too many after the last bargain Bristolian pack I packed up from the Hawkins fire sale that’s stopping me. If it’s still there in the morning.....

Rich, Kernow are selling four blood-and-custard Colletts for 80 quid. With your painting skills they could be worth a look.

Will this 3D Printer be a Bargain ? Aldi on sale from the 19th November. Link  https://www.aldi.co.uk/3d-printer

Aldi 3D printer back from 22nd Nov. On-line only, not available in store. https://www.aldi.co.uk/balco-3d-printer-/p/086887240233900

Some people will consider this a bargain, others not.

If you already have a 3D printer some might find the filaments a bargain, other not. https://www.aldi.co.uk/balco-3d-printer-filament/p/087733240234100

Whatever you view on this, best to discuss the matter over on the 3D thread where there was a lot of discussion on the Aldi offering last year.

Not quite such a wide range as Hattons, but probably cheaper!!

Yup, I've done that at least 4 times now.

But, back on bargains - I note they have 73's for 73 quid as well:

On a slightly different tack, I just bought a HO gauge class 66 - 6601 in Captrain livery for £100 that's not bad price, considering the real thing just travelled from Hull via Reddish to Stoke & back to Hull travelling for maintenance from Belgium... puts a perspective on 00.

Home Bargains have some 1:43 Fiat cars. All new types, ideal for modern image 0. Only 1.99 each.

They're in Fiat packaging so I think they must be promo models being sold off cheaply. There were a couple of different ones in my local HB. (What I find with HB is that they will often have 1 or 2 of a toy range in a given store so it's worth visiting more than one store if you can. We have 4 in Cardiff and I've been known to trog round all of them to complete a set of something.)

Had I been quick enough I think I’d have ended up with one of the non sound ones!

No use for it, no layout, no other o gauge but at that price an ideal starting point

All sold now thankfully so money still in the wallet.

Looking at some of the Kits their postage costs are eye watering even at the kit Bargain price. £37.50 to post a 1/24 Airfix Typhoon.!! Yikes.

Home Bargains also have a couple of toy train sets to play with, the "best" one is £9.99, has an 0-8-0 battery loco with flashing headlight, two long American style bogie coaches and runs on plastic track with a gauge of approx 24mm.

Most odd!

(So its close to S Gauge....)

Wouldn't get too excited. I ordered a Dapol terrier, in stock, order confirmed and money taken. Two days later I get an email saying they'd miscounted their stock and I'm getting a full refund by next week.

Obviously I'm not out of pocket, but this was my first dealing with the business and it leaves me very unimpressed - surely you'd check stock first before announcing your big sale.

advertise a sale with tremendous prices and take orders and then funnily enough we just don't have any of those half price items we said we did...

A terrier for £91 Inc postage seemed too good to be true, and indeed apparently it was.

I hope that gives a little comfort to those who've purchased a terrier from hatton's recently and kicked themselves!

Was in my local 'Works' discount bulk sale book store thingy today.  They had the Haynes Class 50 manual for 3 squids.  Not bad.

Paul

The Flying Scotsman one is £6 on the website if anyone is interested. Check instore if you can as some stores have different offers.

They're quite useful for detailed photos. There are ones on GWR Castles and Tornado as well. But they're out of stock on the website.

Warley Show

Go to Kernow’s stand

They are selling some of there limited editions off around half price.

All are without outer sleeves and certificates because if water damage but all the locomotives have not been effected and are still as new.

I purchased 47973 Midland Counties for £79.99

Also picked up a Mk2A coach HST Barrier Vehicle ltd eddition for £15 (not part of the water damaged stock)

Bachmann stand was empty for most of the day (No mad scrum) I picked up a class 24 that had a bargain price tag of £110 sold as seen!

I asked if this is the best price and was told you can have it for £100! I picked one up for £80 from a stall holder brand new!
