jcm@gwr
I clicked on 'Purchase Raffle Tickets', but it only gives the option of making a donation. Have the all raffle tickets sold out, or do you have to click further to find them?

You make your donation and Andy converts your £s into the same number of tickets.

5 C
With the thread now so long, a reminder of how the raffle/donation process works is probably worthwhile.

Exactly my point, that's just repeating what was said, and what I read. Which says 'buy as many (tickets) as you like', nowhere does it say 'you can't actually buy tickets, you make a donation and we give you tickets to that value'. It's not obvious, and I was trying to buy tickets, not make a donation, I assumed they were 2 different things, because nobody said otherwise. spice1977
Donated. Good luck to all but most importantly that we raise loads for the NHS! I never win anything but in this case I won't mind.

This is the graphic which appears four times in the starting posts of the topic. It's as self-explanatory as I can make it. It links to the Paypal page which allows a variable amount to be donated - there's not an option to have a page which says 'buy x number of tickets at y price'. We're just trying to do something worthwhile without over-complicating things. 7 1
BlackRat
Such a shame we can't all get together this year...... even more so as this years shirt was, shall we say, 'rather special!' As I'm usually fleeced, sorry I mean persuaded to buy tickets, or bid for something I neither want or need in the auction, I'm delighted to be able to support the raffle. Going to miss the usual gang of reprobates and rascals. Stay safe all........ see you in 2021! Nelly. 7 1 1

RMweb Gold Enterprisingwestern Posted April 25, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 25, 2020 Personally, if I was to press a button which said "purchase raffle tickets", then funnily enough that is what I would expect to happen! Mike 1
Moderators Popular Post AY Mod Posted April 25, 2020 Author Moderators Popular Post Share Posted April 25, 2020 Right; moving beyond the hard of understanding onto good news. There's been remarkable personal and collective generosity exhibited (if no real layouts this weekend) which has taken the total past £5,100 - a figure I'd suggested yesterday morning that it would be nice to reach by the end of Sunday including the other donation options which will be available tomorrow on Stu's side of the equation. It's been over-complicated this morning by Paypal thanks to their system refusing to display the simple Activity list which is, in effect, a statement of all the transactions. Instead I've had to go through all the individual notification emails and allocate the numbers from that. I will double check everything when that becomes available again. Their virtual help queue is several hours long to try and get an answer why it's not displaying. 2
RMweb Gold Popular Post Oldddudders Posted April 25, 2020 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted April 25, 2020 I can't speak for others, but if my "numbers" didn't make it into the "hat", I would neither know nor care. And as the prizes on offer don’t necessarily fit on Kingzance, putting any prize I was lucky enough to win back into the pot is an option too, hopefully raising a little more, even if the sum generated so far exceeds our Mod’s expectations. 2 3
5 C
If I win anything, great - it's a bonus. If not, I'm happy to make a donation to the cause with something that has RMWeb's name on it. 2 2
