As ever, the standard of layouts was as good as the standard of cakes and pasties... and that's saying something indeed. Yes it was a good day.Peter lord, extracted some of my post office pension from me and in one of the pictures Brian of 247 can be seen extracting some more from me, my only wonder on this tread of RM web is not one picture of a pasty being consumed at the staplegrove pasryfest. so much is posted about them on here I expected one might have appeared by now Edited April 30 by Graham456

I suspect @Graham456 that the pasties are consumed immediately, and rather quickly - which is the reason for a lack of photos. Indeed, typing this reply, I wish I had one of those fine snacks in front of me now! ha ha 2

RMweb Gold Popular Post NHY 581 Posted May 1 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted May 1 Morning all, A date for your diaries. I can confirm that SWAG'25 will be held on..... SUNDAY 6TH APRIL 2025. Please note the shift to the beginning of the month, made for a variety of reasons. Hall is booked and deposit paid. ☆The fact that we can go ahead and do this is entirely due to the success of this year's jolly modellers day out and in particular, the generous donations made to the cause by both our visitors and a few very kind souls, who despite being unable to attend have still contributed.☆ On behalf of all who are involved in SWAG... I thank you. Rob 14 2 16

I guess a move to early April also avoids any possible clash with the Key Model World thing at the NEC, if it happens again.

RMweb Gold SouthernRegionSteam Posted May 1 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 1 And happily it also means I can now book Sandy Shores into an exhibition that I was expecting to have to turn down - what a stroke of luck! Plus being the start of April, it'll be a nice early birthday present for me to attend SWAG. Side note: Apologies for the delay in posting the next set of photos - I'm editing a large batch (as the next layout will be making an appearance in the modelling press at some point 😉 ) so it'll be a while before I'm ready to post a small selection from them. Thanks for your patience - I'm too much of a methodical worker to skip a layout just to post quicker.
