RMweb Premium Ian Morgan Posted March 7 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 7 The scenery on the Royal Albert Bridge layout has progressed a lot since that photo was taken, mostly in the last couple of weeks, due to herculean efforts by Pete Thorpe, with help from other club members. I have almost completed the Royal Albert Bridge Inn: 3 1
RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted March 8 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 8 (edited) Going to have to go on the Sunday this year, hopefully it will be quieter. Downside is that most if not all the bargains will have been mopped up by Saturday lunchtime and will probably already be on ebay at two to three times what they paid for it by Sunday morning! RMweb Premium Ian Morgan Posted March 12 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 12 This is how the Royal Albert Bridge looked like at the Basingstoke show last weekend. It should look even better at Ally Palley.

RMweb Premium CF MRC Posted March 12 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 12 (edited) York Road diorama will be in attendance on the MRC stand (not listed in layouts). Also flying the 2mm Finescale flag will be the Rydes Vale goods yard and engine shed, again on the MRC demonstration stand. This is the original 2mm fine scale layout from the mid 1960s. It is the first time it will have been seen in public for many years. Tim Edited March 12 by CF MRC 10

Just to confirm, are tickets bought from this link of the "print at home" variety - or do they save to mobile phones? At this moment, family issues etc mean that I don't know if I'll be able to attend this year - same goes for certain other shows. If I'm unable to decide until a day or two before, I'd prefer not to be reliant on the mail ... .
RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted March 12 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 12 When I purchased my ticket online, I received an email with the ticket as a PDF document attached which my mobile can display (I still print mine out anyway) so you should get your ticket instantly. Given how bad the Royal Mail have been lately, if you wanted it posted, you would probably have need to have booked it about six months ago... 1

RMweb Gold 97406 Posted March 14 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 14 A shame the tickets can't be purchased now, I was rather hoping it would have been like the Donny show where they were available right up to the event. Nevertheless, hoping to pay a visit on Sunday down from the E. Midlands if all goes well. Looking forward to it.

When I looked the other day, there seemed to be 2 links - one saying that tickets were no longer available - the other allowing ticket purchases. I wasn't in a position to order at the time - but I believe the link allowing ticket purchases is still active. You might need to look around different parts of this site to find the "real" link.
