Is this a British industrial? If it is then I would agree with the second sentence.

Regards

Yes it is. A lot up in the North East (NCB and Consett steelworks being two owners).

Built by Kitson of Leeds - an absolute belter of a UK designed and built industrial!

if only it was a kit....

The model pictured is not our work but keep an eye out on the Narrow Planet website under the Tyneside Models section in the next coming months.

We are developing the kit in 3mm, 4mm and 7mm. Will include body and chassis both.

ERM mike already has it in 4mm ....and it seems to go together very well. When will yours be ready? Perhaps you could talk to mike to save you some effort?

Is it OO/EM/S4? As narrow planets specialise in narrow gauge?

I thought Mike's one (which is undeniably lovely) was a scratchbuild and there's no firm intention to introduce it as a kit? Obviously Mike is sorted for one, but as for the rest of us... (well, not me, as I'm a raving incompetent, and working in 7mm anyway). That said it's hardly the height of etiquette to advertise your kit range on a thread for someone else's!

It's designed as a kit and I have made moulds for most of the fittings in it. It will probably need some lost wax castings as well for the safety valves and injectors at least. Next step would be to correct the etch, all the notes are made - so as I said earlier, keep asking for it. Best to ask the boss directly at a show.

I don't know where all these rumours appear from but the Stanier 3P is a long way off and definitely no metal yet. Fowler 3P does exist in unbuilt test etch form. The boss has agreed to do the Kitson long boiler 0-6-0PT sometime next year - thanks to everyone who twisted her arm at EM north and Scaleforum.
